Midnights!

Chapter 3.

After I meet the rest of the unit I would be joining, I was taken to my new room and lucky for me it was single room. It felt wired but amazing to be sleeping in a fresh clean bed again. Normally I would be in my long green and yellow sleeping bag on the ground when it comes to sleeping. But not last night I had a fresh comfy bed to sleep in, well will my green and yellow sleeping bag open up and covering me since I couldn't get use to the bed. In my new small room, I got a single long window in my room facing outside and I can see a little grass then the wall, it's the best view but at least I got a window since not all rooms have them. My small room is long and thin pretty much. My bed is by the left wall with a small desk next to where I lay my head and the window sits on my desk. I have a tall wardrobe on the right wall with a small drawer next to it. My door in the middle of the wall that leads to the halls and I got another door on my right wall near my main door that leads to a small bathroom. The bathroom that joins my room is small and basic. A normal toilet, sink and a small shower with a mirror on the wall over the sink. It's not that bad really since it's the end of the world and I won't mind staying here for a bit but not forever. I'm still a solo loner don't forget. "mika, are you up" James said with a kind voice and he knocked on my door making me turn and look to my door. "what's up" I yell as I walk over to open it. "well it's time to meet up with the unit and captain for our new mission, since our rooms are close, I thought I walk you over" James said with worry and I smile a little as I open the door. "thanks, I still don't know this place" I say with a small very small smile and James smiles. "its fine, I was still getting lost after a month of being here, Kieran had to stick with me since I was always getting lost and was stuck wondering around" James grinned and I close my door. "you're not going to lock your door" James ask with worry. "why, isn't everyone here soldiers or stuff, wont they be too busy fighting them to steal" I ask and James nods a little. "I think you should lock your room just in case, you might not have anything important but you don't want people using your room or hiding things inside" James said with a small smile and I lock my door to make the small guy happy. Oh, wait he older then me, but how can someone so small and cute be older. God really isn't fair sometimes.

James just talk about random things as we walked to a meeting room and I just nod at certain points. To be honest I lost the plot about what he been talking about since he moved from one subject to another in the same sentence. We slow down a little as we certain a certain hallway and I guess this is the hall way with all the meetings room, I count ten doors so that must mean their only ten meeting rooms around here. I look at James to try and figure out what door we need but he looks like a lost puppy. It's cute but also worrying since he should know what room we need.

"James" I say making him jump a little. "well we here" James giggle. "but what door do we need" I ask and he goes pale. "I forgot; Kieran did say but I was too busy eating sweets" James said worried. "he meant to be the smart and sensible one of the units" I think with worry as I look at him again and what with the eating sweets so he wasn't listening, is he a child. "well can we just knock on the doors or yell out" I ask and James look at me like an idiot. "in the nine other meeting rooms other units are being told about their missions or talking about important info that been found, so no we can't just yell out or keep knocking on all the doors" James said with worry. "then what else can we do" I ask and James go nervous. "we could call them with the unit's radio" James said shyly. "wait you all keep one with you at all times not just for missions" I ask a little surprised. "yeah everyone gets their own radio to keep with them at all times, in or out of missions so they can be contacted by others" James said with a small smile. "just call them" I say a little annoyed.

"Kieran do you copy" James said with a clear voice into his small radio. "James where the hell are you, we been waiting five minutes for you both" Kieran yelled back. "well we here but we just want to check the meeting room door again, we heard a couple units changed rooms around and wanted to check what room we in now" James said nervous like they know he lying. "you forgot again right" Kieran said annoyed. "maybe" James said with a frown. "Oi" Max yelled from a meeting door and waved at us with a smirk. "not a word" I hiss and max just laughs a little as we walk in.
