Midnights!

Chapter 5.

Before we know it, a couple days flew by and now, we all stood in a captain office. It seemed even James and Kieran didn't know this captain, at first, I thought we got called to our unit captain office but this guy isn't our captain. The four of us stood in a straight line in front of his desk and I noticed everyone was stiff. I kept standing straight like the rest of my unit and noticed that JJ medic was standing in the corner of the room. I think max noticed because I noticed him spare me a glace before he looked at the captain. "do you understand why I called you T-rex unit" the captain said a little annoyed and I noticed a name plate with jack pina. "no sir" max answered back looking straight ahead. "well you should, two days ago you rejected your medic signed to you" captain pina said as he looked at all four of us. "sir, we only asked for him to bring proof he was sent to us" Kieran said like a behaved soldier. "we didn't hear about getting a medic and he just showed up, no one would take that serious" James said with a little worry and annoyance in his voice.

"well I'm here to let you know that he is now joining your unit as your medic" the captain yelled making everyone stay silent. "do I make myself clear, T-rex unit" captain pina yelled at us looking at us like we were just dogs. "yes sir" max, Kieran and James yelled back as they saluted. I just stayed silent standing still, I'm still a solo loner after all and he not my captain. "I look forward to working with you all, T-rex" JJ said with a smirk as he walked past us before walking out the door and man, I wanted to hit this kid.

We all left captain pina office and walked over to the training room A since it was our unit turn to train using the room. As we reach the platform above the training room, so we could discuss who was going in first. We started to play rock paper scissors, since it's the only fair way to decide who goes first without any yelling. After deciding Kieran would go first, we heard foot steps behind us and turned to see JJ. "can we help you" James asked with a frown and JJ just stood a couple feet away looking at us. "I'm here to train with you since we a unit and it seems I can't just do my own things unless I'm with one of you lot" JJ said with a sigh. "you can go in first; we need to check your skills if you're coming on missions with us from now on" Max said and JJ just nodded. "I take you to the starting door and set the equipment on you" Kieran said with a small smile since we all got to get along if we going to be working with each other until we die or we wipe out all the midnights. "thanks, just warning you I did become second in the fighting test" JJ said proudly and followed Kieran. "he did mean in a training room and not a paper fighting test" I said with worry and max sighed.

"well he all set up and ready to start, just hit the button to open the training door" Kieran said as he walked over to us. "well how bad can he be if he got sent to us, the unit who gets the worse missions" James said with a hopeful smile. "well I guess we now gonna find out" max said with worry and press the button to make the training room door open and the training to begin. "I don't have a good feeling about this" I sigh and we all watch; our bad feelings were about to come true.

JJ entered the room and all me could hear was his screams as he ran into wall over wall. What was worse is instead of shooting the paper posters of different Midnights he threw his gun at the first one and then his torch at the second poster. When he found the third poster he just started crying and curled up on the floor. James and Kieran's mouth were left hanging wide open from shock. Max just stayed wide open not daring to speak and for me well, I was laughing my head of at the end. After we heard him cry out dont eat me or help me, max stopped the training and turned everything off just letting normal lights come on as we ran to go get him. Well me and max ran inside the training to go get JJ and bring him out while James ran off to find some water and Kieran going to find a chair from one of the roofs nearby.

"JJ" max yells as he finds him crying on the floor. "I don't want to die" JJ cries on the floor and my smirk fades after seeing him close up. "you're not going to die, we got you" I say in a clam voice and go to touch him arm trying to make him look up. But before I could tap him, he jumped and screamed. "calm down JJ, we going to take you outside" max says with worry and tries to move closer but JJ quickly stands up and runs. "wait" I yell but am too late as JJ runs straight into a wall and knocking himself out.
