Chapter 12. She Said, He Said.

    Shit! Fuck! Dammit! What did I do?! Why did I sleep with Zeek? Because you didn’t want Beau to be right; you didn’t want to admit you still had feelings for him. I continued pacing in front of my bed, cursing myself. I want to call Lucy and talk to her about everything, but she hates Beau and I can’t rely on her to be unbiased. After all she is the one that encouraged me to keep seeing Zeek, not that I really needed it. As if she knew I was thinking about her, my phone pinged with a message from Lucy.

    Lucy: How was the party?

    Me: It was.. Interesting.

    Lucy: Care to elaborate?

    Me: Maybe…

    Lucy: Sawyer Marie Thompson! What happened?!!!

   

    Fuck, she used my full name. I’ll be in deep shit if I don’t tell her. I was just about to reply when Serenity and Maria burst through my bedroom door.

    “What the hell happened last night?! You disappeared for an hour and then we watched you leave with Zeek.” Serenity sounded upset.

    “Yeah, what gives muffin?” Maria added.

    I wanted to explain everything but before I could open my mouth my phone pinged with another message from Lucy.

    Lucy: ???

   

    “Listen I’ll explain everything however, I need to add Lucy to this conversation.” I said in a rush.

“Ugh, why? Can’t you call her after?” Serenity hissed. She doesn’t care for Lucy, not sure if it’s jealousy over me or over Luke. I know both have the hots for him, and even though Lucy has Sam she doesn’t want to see Luke with anyone else. I’ve tried to make them hash out whatever their issues are with no luck. They tolerate each other for my sake.

    “Because she’s been one of my closest friends since we were 6 and I value her opinion. Now suck it up buttercup. I need all three of you for this catastrophe that I created.” I scolded her. Maria snorted out a laugh which in turn made me burst into laughter. Serenity glared at us both before plopping down on my bed and releasing a huff noise. Maria and I followed suit while I clicked on Lucy’s name and touched the green call icon. Within three rings we were greeted by a very pissed off Lucy.

    “Oh now you want to talk?!” Lucy scoffed.

    “Look, I’m sorry Luce. Something major happened and I don’t know how I feel about it.” Lie, I know exactly how I feel. I feel like trash. “But before I get to the nitty gritty, Maria and Serenity are here too. Say hi girls.”

    “Hi Lucy!” Maria chirped.

    “Hey.” Serenity said flatly.

    “Hello Maria! Will you be coming to Casper with Sawyer for Christmas?” Lucy beamed. “Oh and hey Serenity.” Her tone now cold.

    “I haven’t decided, but if the guys there look anything like Zeek or Gaylon I’m in!” Maria giggled.

    “You know Gaylon?” Lucy sounded confused.

    “Um, yeah. So Gaylon plays for MSU too.” I replied sheepishly.

    “Gaylon is ridiculously hot. I mean absolutely delicious.” Maria swooned.

    “Gaylon is Beau’s cousin.” Lucy stated.

    “Speaking of Beau. He was at the party.” I felt a weight lift off of my chest.
