Beau

Tonight is my last night at OSU. My last night as a Buckeye, as an Ohio resident, and as Caroline's neighbor. She's really not that bad of a person, once she realized I would never be interested in her romantically that is. However, I still felt as if I was being watched so I resorted to late night or early morning showers, eating off campus or holed up in my dorm, and I would go strictly to practice and class then back to my room. This ridiculous schedule seemed to have worked over the last few weeks. I haven't felt the eerie creepy feeling of having an unknown set of eyes watching me, causing the hair on my neck to stand at attention.

Luckily for me, after tonight I wouldn't have to hide anymore and I'll be on my way to Sawyer. I have dreamt of her every night since I saw her. She had cut her long brown locks, but the new shoulder length suited her new fiery personality. She was always so timid and hated confrontation. However, this Sawyer, Oh God, she slapped me! She attacked me with demanding questions and had we not of been interrupted I would have gladly told her everything. The curiosity was killing her though, because the day after the party my phone buzzed with a message from her.

Sawyer- I'm still waiting for an answer.

Me- I'll gladly explain everything.

Sawyer- Let's hear it.

Me- Oh, not over text Babes.

Sawyer- Don't call me that. Okay, call me I have a few minutes before class.

Me- It can't be over the phone either BABES.

I knew she was cursing me out. I couldn't help, but chuckle at the image of her cute little nose wrinkling as she said the words that were far too filthy to be coming out of her pretty little mouth.

Sawyer- STOP! Why not?

Me- NEVER Babes. Because I need you to see me when I tell you the truth. I need to look into your eyes and tell you exactly why I would never hurt you in such a despicable way.

Sawyer- You're impossible Mr.Whitmore.

Me- So formal Ms.Thompson. Shall we set a date for early January?

Sawyer- Won't you be home for Christmas?

I was not expecting that question. My heart began to thump loudly in my ears with excitement.

Me- Yes, I'll be spending Christmas break with David and my mom.

Sawyer- Meet at Johnny's on the 23rd?

Me- It's a date.

Sawyer stopped responding, but would occasionally send me texts with how many days left until the 23rd. Gaylon had been giving me updates on her when he could. I knew she wouldn't like me keeping tabs like that, but I needed to know she was safe. She stopped seeing Zeek almost immediately after the party. It gave me hope that she knew, just like I did, that we belonged together. Seeing him with his hands around her made my blood boil, but I knew it would never last. Zeek isn't me. Her heart still holds love for me.

There came a brief knock on my door, dragging me away from my late night thoughts. Who the hell would that be this late? It's almost 2am. I throw off my comforter, swing my legs over the side of my bed and amble over to my door. Damn this door for not having a peep hole. I warrily crack open the door and peak through the small gap. There's no one there, so I open the door fully. I search down both ends of the hallway but see no sign of life. I turn and start to shut the door when I see a pink envelope stuck between the door and its frame. I bend down slowly picking it up. What the hell? On the front I see my name written in bright blue ink, BEAU. I flip over the envelope and discover a bone chilling message, Thought you should know what you REALLY mean to her. I hesitantly rip open the pink paper, revealing a picture of a fully naked Zeek thrusting into a half naked Sawyer. She's wearing that floral printed dress from the night of the party. All of the color drained from my face, my stomach turned and I felt the sudden need to empty all of its contents.

Why would she do this? Was this before I spoke to her? Maybe she didn't care for me the way I thought, maybe she was meeting me in two days to tell me it's really over. Maybe she doesn't love me anymore.

The first tear fell, opening the floodgates.

I felt like I had a gaping hole in my chest.

I needed answers, and it'd be two whole days before I'd hear them.

Two. Excruciating. Painful. Days.

Who do you think left the pink envelope for Beau?

How do you think Beau and Sawyers reunion will go?

Sorry for being gone so long everyone! Some major life changes are still taking place, but I will be writing again❤ I'll try to update as much as possible. Hope you like this update! Feed back is appreciated as always!
