     *Short chapter*

Loki continued to cry letting his whole life's worth of problems spill.

With all the abuse he's had to live on, nothing, nothing at all seemed to measure to his grief for the potential fall of his brother. He wished to say he was alive but nothing survived Thanos- other than Loki; he was still undecided of his position. Or maybe there was just no existence after death, and it was all just some story created to fill the agony of an unavoidable end in our natures.

Loki began tugging on his hair struggling to stop himself from shaking.

     'Breathe'

Loki thought to himself as he coughed breathes.

He wouldn't accept the theory of him being alone in a realm of the inexistent, there had to be at least some form of life.

He let out a sigh standing tall once again, maintained his hands behind his back and pursued his walk forming other illusions of himself to explore other directions.

He wasn't straight, for when he straightened his spine his neck would adjust appallingly.

Loki saw Nothing new. Just the sight of the same sunset like sky and flooded ground. He was hating it.

•••

The course seemed to take hours and yet no sight of an individual soul.

He began to surrender hope, maybe this truly was his end, his curse.

Then something seized his eye. It was a light bump in the flattened ground far in the distance; it looked like nothing but a pebble.

But he knew that if he pulled closer, something could come to image.

He rushed towards the dot, it quickly became bigger larger to the extent he could make out a building. It was like a small hut, nothing too extraordinary but it was definitely better than the nothing he had been seeing since his arrival.

He entered and practically fell into the poles holding himself up. He grew tired, and the pain wasn't much help.

He loosened his muscles and the feeling of relief filled him.

     "Loki, my dear."

Loki leaped in the air like a firecracker in the Fourth of July, his whole life put on pause for a second as he tried processing what he had just heard, was he going mad?

     "Loki look at me."

Drifting, he turned to the all too familiar voice.

Someone might claim he was struck by Medusas spell by how still he was. He shook his head "G-Gods I'm truly losing it." He croaked gripping onto his face.

     "No, you're not."

Loki shook his head turning towards his mother. "No, you...your not supposed to be here..why are you here you should be in Vahalida- why?" She grinned and stepped towards him taking his face with her warm soothing hand.

"I-I'm sorry I couldn't have been there to save you mother." She chuckled and shook her head. "Do not care for that, it was fate that had led me to my death, not you."

Loki held the hand that she held to his face.

"The future hasn't been very kind to you has it?" Loki's lips trembled as he shook his head no.

"Don't worry about me, I'm simply here to help guide you, this is the soul realm after all." She chuckled at Loki's confused face. "Do not worry, I didn't know of this places existence either."

"What- what are you going to do?"

"There has been some kind of mistake my dear, you where supposed to go to your designated after life. Yet instead you ended up here. Right in the middle. The place where the perished lived for five years, or five hours. Well, in all honesty there was a reason your here, but not even I know that."

"they told me to give you words to help guide you to the afterlife, but I will not do that. Instead, I'm going to bring you back, I am a witch after all and I will not let the rules stop me. I'm already perished, what more can they do?"

Loki couldn't believe her words. "I-is my brother- Thor??!" She now held both hands to his face in a matter to comfort him. "I can not say the fate of others, that's only for you to figure out. We must hurry now, we're 25 minutes late."

Loki gripped her wrist. "Wait no I- I won't see you again." He knew his destination after life was Hel, she was in Vahalida. This was the last time they would see if he leaves.

Without a response he held his hand and kissed his forehead.

     "I love you, my son."
