The blasting noise of horns and faint yelling awoke him.

He split open his eyes and struggled to peer around. He sought to move his head but to no avail, if in the soul realm he was merely half alive then he was only getting half the pain. And that pain connected to what he was feeling right now was nothing.

Tears appeared at the rims of his eyes as a reflex to the injury. He couldn't even move.

An unpleasant smell surrounded him. He ran a look of disgust and examined his surroundings with nothing but his eyes. It was bleak and space was slim. There were several trash cans and small ponds of... vomit.

He gaged and sealed his eyes. He had to get up and find a different location. From what it showed like he was in some alleyway.

'In Asgard, we never had this poor quality of living.' he thought.

He laid there for a time, trying to think of what to do. He thought about kicking himself forwards with his legs until his head lay against a wall.

So he carried out the thought; It was going smoothly until his head just barely contacted the wall. He felt as if his upper spine just snapped and gasped. He shuddered as he forced his upper body up with the force of his stomach. Truly a workout.

Once up (hardly) he gradually leaned back, working to settle himself on the wall. Then his weakened muscles failed him and he dropped back, head smashing into the wall.

He wailed in torment. His body trembled and for a moment he felt like he was passing, only this time there would be no "second chance."

He tried to settle himself, his body still jittery, waiting, preparing for another shock of pain.

Trying to put his focus on something else he noticed all the papers scattered around the walls, some mangled and worn out but most new. One read:

"Reestablish your life! We will help you get back on your feet!"

Another went.

"Free therapy for the survivors who have developed PTSD or depression for their missing loved ones."

And so on. Loki knew Thanos had completed his mission, yet only now it looked much time has passed.

How long had it been? It had only been hours before he was faced with Thanos.

He put his hands to his neck for comfort. The thought of the purple man...scared him.

Thor.

The Trickster had been preoccupied in his thoughts he almost forgot  his brother. He Frantically triedto get up, struggling through the pain he got to his feet. He yelped in discomfort as he stood tall and had to make a moment to relax and catch a breath.

Loki had to find his brother. He wanted to make sure he was alive, show Thor that he was alive. Explain to him this "Soul Realm"

His spirit sank, what if Thor didn't wish to see him? He had said that he's tired of his games. What if this was the final straw, and he thinks Loki was only playing another game faking his death?

Loki understood that would be his thoughts; all he had to do was explain. Then they could be brothers again, maybe even do what Thor had constantly wished. Fight side by side, till their time ends, just as he referred back in the elevator.

"Uh hello? You ok down there? I heard some screaming?" Shouted a voice from the other end.

Loki had to turn his whole body to look at the voice. He was in a blue, gold, and red spandex looked comparable to metal actually. From his last trip to Midgard, he had never met someone like him, must be a new hero.

Luckily for Loki , he was tucked away in the dark, so this new hero couldn't see him as he inched closer.

"Hello? Sir, are you ok? I can see you. Come out of the dark." Loki thought for a moment, was he ready to face Thor again? Or worse, was he prepared to discover out his brother's fate?

"Sir, I-"

He stopped speaking and stared at him, the eyes of his suit widened. He must have recognized him. Loki was pretty famous here, he tried to murder everyone and take over, who could forget him?

The hero backed away. "Y-...your Loki."

"Really? I didn't know that." He wished he could speak but it wasn't really possible for him right now.

Loki tried to walk towards the hero, but he stumbled onto the wall. He caught himself but it was too late, the movement made it to his neck and he growled in pain.

The other man didn't move; he seemed absorbed in thought. "Are.....are you ok?" He stepped closer to him then sprang back as if he had just seen a ghost. Maybe he had.

He pointed to him, hands quivering. "Y-y-your n-neck!"

'Didn't your mother teach you it was rude to point?'

The hero walked towards him. "Oh...you probably can't talk can you?"

'Oh no I can, I just like staying quiet!'

"What happened?" He asked his gaze still lingering to his neck. It probably looked worse than when he contemplated. Although it probably shouldn't be a surprise due to the immense pain.

"You h-have um...blood coming fr-from your eyes...it uh dry b-blood but uh...yeah.." Loki wasn't sure how to respond to the mortal, he just glared at him. All he's doing is losing his time. He recalled the feeling of the blood trickling down from his eyes as Thanos gripped his neck, the moment came back to him. It felt so real. Loki stumbled back, the feeling If panic filled him and he choked for air. He could breathe. It suddenly get very hot, he felt unsteady.

He shut his eyes and Thanos' face stood in front of him, hands tightly around his neck.

The sense of something gripping his waist shot his eyes wide. He shoved the hero back. "W-wait- I'm trying to h-help you!" He said and held his hands up to him. He pushed them away and tried to get away from him.

"Breathe Mister Loki b-breathe!" Loki shut his eyes, he was panicking, he wanted his brother. Did this mortal know about his brother? He wanted to ask but he couldn't exactly talk now, could he?

Suddenly he left light headed, his body was slowly drifting away. "MISTER LOKI NO!" The man cried as Loki stumbled forward, the darkness consuming him once again.
