Once you learn how to fly, walking gets boring.

"You wouldn't do it," Kai stated.

"Wouldn't I?" West questioned, "I had shit day. And we need to repeat Geography and Economics, which I hate. Oh, and I'm drunk, so why the hell not?"

"Because-" Kai started, but West already started running towards the cop.

"No, West!" Despite the fact Kai was drunk, she was not half as drunk as West. Or maybe she was just better at handling it.

West grabbed the cop's hat and within the few moments it took the cop to realize what happened, he ran for his life. "Well, come on Kai!"

Kai sighed, making a short prayer to Jesus before running, slightly faster than West.

"What the fuck?!" West asked, "oi! You smoke, how can you possibly be faster than me?!" Kai flashed him the middle finger, running past a boy with a Spongebob balloon.

"Hey, want this balloon?" The boy asked West. West paused, "for free."

"Yeah, sure." The boy handed him the red string attached to Spongebob's black shoe. "Thanks man, you're going into Heaven! God bless your soul- FUCK!" West swore, as he turned to see the cop getting closer and closer.

He ran, crossing the road just before the lights turned red and cars filled the way. "HUH!" he cheered.

He kept running when someone grabbed his hand, pulling him to an alley.

"Hey, fuck face," Kai greeted with a smile.

"Hello my sweetest jerk." he replied, "I got you a balloon!" he announced, tying it to her hand.

"Oh my God, thanks!"

"No problem, it's for free, so..."

"Oh, yeah. So what now?" West shrugged.

"GOTCHA!" a voice called, making the two scream. West grabbed Kai's hand and started running deeper into the alley. The cop from behind them was running much slower and panting, so West knew he had to think quickly when they reached a dead end. "Come on, Kai, we're climbing!"

"Are you sur--"

And then the cop caught Kai's hand, and West sighed, giving up.

"You could still run," Kai said.

"We go together or we don't go down at all," West stated.

"Awww," Kai smiled at him as the cop handcuffed her. "That's some kinky stuff, you're lucky we're eighteen."

"Shut up Kai," West laughed, referring to both parts, kicking her. Kai laughed and the cop cuffed West's hands. As they were shoved to the police car West sighed. "At least we've still got each other."

"And the SpongeBob balloon. Never forget the SpongeBob balloon."

"SHERIFF!" Kai screamed as they entered the station.

"Kai? What the hell-" The cop unlocked the cuffs, meaning to tell the Sheriff that he dowsn't even care anymore and that they're his responsibility.

"SHERIFF!" she hugged him, "I MISSED YOU! Did you miss seeing us every weekend?"

"No." he replied, as West walked closer. He pried his best friend off the 'poor man'.

The Sheriff looked between Kai to West. "Aren't you two short on a certain shit-head?"

"Sheriff," Kai gasped. "How dare you speak like that?"

"Well, if I remember correctly this is your nickname for each other."

"Anyway; Look at that, Kai and West. Wow. Never thought I'd see you back at Beacon Hills. What brings the two rock stars back?"

"Living the dream isn't all that dreamy when your music is crap and your sleeping environment becomes either a bus or the ground for two years."

"And try sleeping with this bum head for two years. Her snoring killed some people."

"I don't snore!" Kai protested.

"Sure you don't," he snorted.

"You left knowing it ain't gonna be perfect and dreamy." The Sheriff asked, "what really made you come back? And where is Sid?"

Kai sighed. "It sure as hell much less dreamy when your best friend is stabbed three meters from you, and you watch him lay in a pool of blood."

"Sounds like a good reason." Sheriff said, furrowing his eyebrows. "Stonem is dead," he half- stated half-asked. "How?"

"He was stabbed." Kai repeated.

"No, I mean... how?"

"I dunno man, freaking America."

"Yeah."

Kai and West spend few more hours at the station, and somehow ended up working on a cover version for one of The Amity Affliction's songs. Which then became an argument about doing an acoustic version of a song, and then they gave up on doing one of their songs and just needed to decide on a song to cover.

"Why not Fall Down Fall Down?" Kai whined, "we both like Closer to Closure and it's a great and kinda easy song."

"Kai, trust me on this one. NO!"

"SHUT UP IDIOTS!" the cop that arrested them yelled.

"FUCK OFF!" They both screamed. "Get a guitar," Kai ordered the now- sober West. He stood up and strolled to the sheriff's office, taking a key. He grabbed it and walked to the small room near the back exit, where he took out a ten years old guitar. He locked it up and put the key back in its place.

"Okay, so, what now?" West asked.

"Hold on," Kai stated. "Hey Sheriff!" she called. He raised his head. "When can we leave?" he looked between the two of them.

"When your parents will come around."

"They won't," West stated, "they'll be all like 'oh, good riddance'. They were happy without us."

The SpongeBob balloon floated above their heads, still attached to Kai's wrist in a red string. Kai set her phone-with-better-camera-than-West's in a good angle and pressed Record.

"Fall Down," she ordered, ending the discussion.

"I can't feel you," both Kai and West started singing, and after that sentence, West silenced, "through the thick skin I created and you still--" Kai silenced as a certain Deputy entered her sight. She laughed, trying to cover up the awkwardness. "I forgot the rest of the lyrics."

West looked at her at disbelief for a moment before laughing and catching her at a headlock. He ruffled her hair, "you're something special, kid. No matter how long I'm gonna know you, you're always gonna surprise me."

"Yeah, well..." she laughed, her eyes catching Jordan Parrish's glance. "What can I say, man?"

She smiled at the Deputy, having a goal in mind; she's gonna sleep with Deputy Pretty Eyes.
