*YOUR POV*

We stood and brushed ourselves off as Alice turned to me with a faint smile. "At least you're not navigating these halls alone anymore, right?" I nodded and looked around. I still didn't recognize where we were, so Iturned to Alice.

"Does any of this look familiar to you? Because I haven't recognized anything beyond the surface level." Alice glanced at our surroundings, then shook her head.

"No, I have no idea where we are, or that this even existed. But we need to keep moving, just in case the ink demon senses us." I shuddered, but followed Alice. As we walked, I thought about my emotions. I knew I'd had a crush on cartoon Alice for years, and now she was real. She was definitely gorgeous, and I'd always been more in love with the cartoon personality, which the real Alice had. I bit my lip, thinking. Would it even be wise to start a romance here? In this decrepit factory, when survival wasn't assured? I glanced up at Alice. And her. She was made of ink. So if I destroyed the ink demon, would it destroy the factory? And would it kill her as well? I shook my head, clearing it, as we approached a series of pipes. Alice grimaced. "Puzzles. I've never liked puzzles." I laughed softly, then noticed a tape nearby. I walked over and hit play, hearing the voice of Thomas Connor come through it.

"Progress Report to Gent Home Office. Client: Joey Drew Studios. Although we're making progress, the client's expectations keep changing. What started simply as a machine to mold life-size figures now seems to be teetering on the edge of magic more than engineering. Although Mr. Drew remains convinced they are the same thing. The process of running the cartoon file through the machine for the figures to imprint on it is going well. We've had several near successes. One weird note, the first figure ever created was a failed attempt in the likeness of the character called Bendy. Since that time, no other attempts of this particular figure have emerged. And the one that did... I dunno, there's just something unworldly about him." Alice and I looked at each other, and I could tell we were thinking the same thing. Could the ink demon be that very same figure attempt?
