Chapter seven~he will pay

It has been a week since Tris got out of the hospital, and things have been going well. As well as it can get. Tris and Uri are still upset about our parents, but I'm not. Yes, I loved them but we didn't really have that connection anymore as I got older. Today is the day that Amar will visit us. It is Wednesday and he visits is Wednesdays and Sundays.

It is eleven so Tris, Uri and I walk to lunch. I pick up Tris half way there and place her in my hip. She giggles. The first laugh that I have heard out of her in a whole month. I grin and kiss her cheek.

We sit down for lunch with the gang. Uri, Tris, Mar, Lynn, Shuana, and me. We eat lunch and laugh together.

"Okay. Let's do something." Shuana says.

"Like?" Uri asks.

"Hide-and-seek!" Marleen says.

"Sure. But remember be careful the Abnegation, Candor, Erudite, and Amity leaders are coming today. With their families." (hint hint😏) I say. They nod.

"On three, the last person who says 'not it' will be it." Tris says. "1....2.....3...." Everybody erupts with the chorus of 'no its!' I said it last so I'm it.

I count to 40 and start looking. I have found Shuana and Uri. They help me find Lynn and Mar, but no one knows where Tris is.

That is until we hear her scream.

It's coming from the chasm. We hear a thump. We rush over and see Tris curled up on a rock. We rush to her. She is breathing, no bleeding, and no broken bones.

From behind us we hear an evil laugh. Uri crouches under my body. I stand up and see Josh. I absentmindedly push Uri behind me.

Josh is 12 two years older than me. He thinks he runs dauntless. I hate him. He has bullied us our whole life.

He just walks away.
