✸✸Last night, Ashar's anger was suffice to weaken my strength and my hope that there would be a day when I would be able to make them believe that I was not a bad person. His threats and hatred scared me to death and made me realize that I won't be able to stand against those powerful people. I was too impuissant in front of them.
Ashar sounded like he was planning to crush me or worse. He was not going to listen or understand me. I had no one on my side to defend me or be my witness. Samara was the only witness, but she chose to back stab me.
"What happened to your arm?" Matt Hobsons inquired.
I was currently in Hobsons mansion because Matt Hobsons called me in the morning to come over. My stress level was only rising. Last night, Ashar came to my place to show his hatred for me, now his father called me and I didn't know the reason yet, but I could feel that the reason was not good because Hobsons were only a bad news for me.
"I fell." I lied. I self-dressed my wound last night and it was a lot better than before.
Ashar's father looked somewhat similar to him; like they shared the same hair color and almost same height. Their shape of lips was little bit similar as well. However, unlike Ashar, he seemed more determined, stiff and strangely graceful. Ashar's aura was more friendly and generous, but his father seemed dangerously serious and stern. Besides the aging factor which was clearly visible on his face, his skin was craggy with prominent creases on forehead.
"I've no strong evidence to prove myself innocent in the entire matter. But sir, believe me. I was never interested in this marriage. Samara pulled me into this forcibly." I attempted to defend myself in front of him.
He narrowed his eyes, "Both of you women thought that the whole family can be easily fooled, right? Samara putting entire blame on you and here, you're putting all blaming on her. Can you please stop this blame-game?"
Samara was blaming me? I was dumbfounded. She knew everything, still she was lying. She was continuously fabricating me a fraud. I really didn't know how to deal with her lies anymore.
Matt removed his overcoat and hanged it on his office chair, placing his hands on it, "Sanaya Frances, you are lucky that I'm not charging you for the trickery because I want to protect my family's and business's reputation."
"What are you trying to say?" I rubbed my temple nervously.
"I won't beat around the bush and get directly to my point." He took few steps towards me, "Bring your stuff here. From now, you'll be living here not as a family member, but how should I say, like a captive?"
Wait, what?
"Even if we ignore your presence in a wedding dress at the Church, we can't ignore those legal papers." He continued, "I tried my ways and consulted with a lawyer secretly. Since legal procedure of my son's marriage is still in process, the lawyer suggested replacing Samara's name with yours wherever it's needed. After that, you'll be a legal, but secretive wife of my son. This is the only solution for now.
"We need to hide the different signatures from the court or else Ashar would go to jail for fooling the court so he suggested that solution. We've to follow it until people would stop talking about the wedding. Since, the event is grand and recent, media still talking about it and people stills wants to know about it. That's why, there's a chance that the information could leak out about Ashar's marriage. So, we've no option, but to wait."
