It was the second day when the rain came without warning or sympathy for the sun. The waves crashed against the shore, angry. Jungkook and Hoseok both agreed that a movie day in the built in theater was the best option.

"Jungkook," Hoseok started from his place, legs draped over the younger boys own and his head tucked under Jungkook's arm, after the third movie's credits began to roll. "I thought we were having a superhero marathon?"

"We are." Jungkook took a bite of their shared popcorn before loading up another movie into the queue.

Hoseok smirked. "Then why have the last three movies been Spiderman, and you're-" He was cut off by his own giggles. "You're playing another Spiderman?!"

Jungkook smiled, pulling Hoseok closer. "Spiderman's a superhero. Besides, this is a different spiderman, the last one was Tom Holland, this one is animated it's Into The Spiderverse. They're completely different!"

"You know, you could have just asked for a Spiderman specific marathon, I would have said yes."

"Yeah but," Jungkook pouted. "What if Iron Man got jealous?"

Hoseok shuffled around in Jungkook's lap until he was facing him, cupping the youngers cheeks in both hands. "Aww~ Don't pout Jungkookie~"

"I'm not pouting." Jungkook judded his lip out farther, eyes averted in hopes of Hoseok not catching his beat red cheeks in the dim lighting of the room.

"You so are. Let's see, how can I fix this, hm?" Hoseok started, a little mischievous grin upon his lips.

"What are you talking about-" Jungkook was quickly cut off by a fit of hysterical laughter when hoseok was tickling his neck and stomach. "Hob- hyung!" He tried in-between his laughter when the popcorn went tumbling to the ground and Hoseok toppled over him, continuing his waging war while hovering over Jungkook.

Once satisfied Hoseok's hands rested still, flat against Jungkook's chest as they both tried catching their breaths from the laughter. Hoseok was smiling, "There, no more pouting."

"Oh yeah?" Jungkook smirked right back. "Well I think you're forgetting about my revenge!" Without wasting another second Jungkook flipped them over so that he had full access to tickle Hoseok without mercy. His own laughter harmonizing with Hoseok's insistent, melodic giggles. "Kookie!" He tried numerous times but his voice always being drowned out by his own laughter.

It wasn't until Hoseok was playfully trying to push Jungkook over that Jungkook grabbed both his wrists and held them above Hoseok's head, that things changed. Suddenly, as if a switch had gone off, Hoseok's eyes filled with fear again. And before Jungkook could mentally catch up to the shift, Hoseok was yelling, "Get away from me! Get off! Don't touch me-"

Jungkook's eyes grew wide as Hoseok was frantically pushing away and crawling out from under Jungkook, as if he couldn't get away fast enough, as if he was burned and Jungkook was the raging fire.

As if Jungkook was going to hurt him.

Jungkook quickly moved to the other end of the couch, giving Hoseok as much space as he needed, a sense of dense dread washed ashore over Jungkook and he felt like he couldn't breathe. "Hobi..."

"I'm sorry." Hoseok spoke after catching his breath, still trembling. His hands and knees tucked into his chest and his head hidden behind them, "I'm sorry Kookie..."

"Did I..." Jungkook could barely get the words out, could barely process the reality of what was happening. "Did I hurt you Hobi...?"

Hoseok took one deep, tremble filled breath before lifting his head, and reaching out to lay a hand atop Jungkook's own. "It wasn't you who hurt me."

Jungkook slowly, hesitantly, interlocked their fingers together, giving what he hoped was a soft, reassuring squeeze. "I should have asked...I shouldn't have done that...I know your wrists are sensitive because of what happened and I'm just so sorry Hobi hyung...I didn't...I wasn't thinking...I..."

Hoseok shook his head, moving closer towards Jungkook as if in slow motion. "Don't apologize Kookie, I'm not scared of you. I guess I'm just...a little vulnerable right now. Trying to get over all of this." He turned to meet Jungkook's gaze, his breath steadier, the trembles calmed like the sea after a storm and a small smile painted his lips. "I know you would never hurt me Jungkookie. I know. It's okay."

"Are you sure it's okay...?" Jungkook asked, he could feel the tears starting to build up in his eyes. From guilt or relief, he wasn't sure.

"Positive." Hoseok squeezed Jungkook's hand gently in reassurance. "But you know how you can make it up to me?"

"How?"

"Hand me the remote Kookie." Hoseok smiled gently as Jungkook did just that, and the elder's attention turned towards the screen.

Jungkook sniffed. "Are you going to put on Iron Man?"

"Nope, better."

"Better?" Jungkook questioned as Hoseok messed around with the remote, and a song started to play.

Hoseok put the remote down, moving to stand up in front of Jungkook, holding his hand out towards the younger. "Do you know how to slow dance Kookie?"

Jungkook let out a wet chuckle, a relieved sigh as he took Hoseok's hand and joined him in standing. "I do actually. Jiminie hyung taught me when he was taking classes to impress Taehyungie hyung awhile back."

Hoseok giggled, letting his arms rest around Jungkook's shoulders. "He would. But good, because I'm a little rusty."

Jungkook rested his hands on Hoseok's waist, leading them both in small circles, swaying. "Rusty my ass hyung."

"Hey now, I'm sure your ass isn't rusty!" Hoseok defended, and not a moment later they were both giggling into each other's shoulders, Hoseok deciding to rest his head there on Jungkook's shoulder.

It was soothing, calming. That warm feeling that Jungkook felt whenever Hoseok would do the most mundane of things was hitting him ten fold, how much he liked- how much he loved this. His arms full of the strongest, funniest and kindest person he'd ever known. It felt too good to be true, to fragile of a dream.

And yet, here he was.

"What are you giggling about Kookie?" Hoseok asked, snuggling further into the crook of Jungkook's neck.

"Nothing hyung." Jungkook smiled into Hoseok's hair, letting the vanilla scent filled his lungs with a sense of home. "I'm just...really happy right now."

Jungkook could feel Hoseok smiling against his collarbone as he whispered a quiet, sincere, "Me too."

And then Jungkook noticed the trumpets in the song. "Hyung, what song is this?"

Hoseok giggled. "What song do you think it is Kookie?"

"It's Been a Long Long Time? Captain America and Peggy's song?" Jungkook asked through a hum.

"Bingo. I figured, since we are having a superhero marathon..." Hoseok's smile only grew when Jungkook pulled him in closer.

"Iron man is going to be so jealous."
