"Have you ever been hurt before? Not like, physically but emotionally?'

"Yeah, once. Though I know how to prevent it."

"How?"

"Just don't get emotionally attached to people, don't love them anymore if they have hurt you because they will just continue to hurt you."

"But-"

"It's hard to let go of someone you've loved, even if they never loved you back. Just the memories of the two of you are different from memory you've shared with others, and you see them and think...' was this a one-sided love?' 'Did they ever care.' And you can't help but think these things and worry about stupid small things to get their attention. And when you meet eyes, it reminded you of the times you two never fought the times you two would get along. When they made you smile just for walking into the classroom, but also, you know that it's all over...you know that you've f'ed up. And you tell yourself you hate them, you tell yourself that they hate you and you hate them, but you also know your just feeding yourself lies because you love them. Because you don't want to let go of those happy times together, because if you did, you would be alone.

No more smiles

No more memory

No more color

Just shaking hands

In the corner of a room

With tears running down your face

And for most people

The self-inflicted scars they left

With the pain still lingering

And blood still dripping

Because of your sunshine to your dark life

Left for someone else
Or
You pushed them away
Or
Died down
Or
You screwed up,
And they didn't want to be around a screw-up."

"your crying."
