You put your earrings on and decided
To go casual with some jeans and a tee
With your favorite pair of converse
And wait patiently for your best friend,
Micky Dolenz to hurry up because he
Said he would take you somewhere.

You were nervous yet excited because
He always had some sort of trick up his
Sleeve for you. Lord know what he's
Planning this time.

As you waited you just kinda day dreamed
Of him. Of you two being together, because
Your feelings for him grew stronger each
Time you think of him.
"I really wish"- you were cut off my honking
Noises and checked the window.

He pulled up in the Monkee mobile and
You were quiet shocked to say the least.
How in the world did he convince Mike
To use it?
Anyways, you walked out of your house
And heard him honk again.

"I'm coming Dolenz!" You laugh.
"I know,I know." He laughed with you.
As you got in and sped away he was
Ranting about his sister, Coco and
Then asked you where you wanted to go.

"I actually have no clue I thought you were
Gonna surprise me, but I guess not."
"Well, y/n, I think you should decide"
He said seriously.
You responded with,
"Micky, I'm fine with where ever we go"
Micky had suggested a few places but
You weren't really interested, then you
Suggested a few places and he wasn't
Interested.

Eventually you two were arguing and you
Playfully slapped his shoulder and had decided
On a place. Ugh finally. You guys were two miles away from going to your favorite restaurant,
When the Monkee Mobile began to slow down
And gas came out.
"Uh oh this isn't good at all" Micky looked concerned.
"What's happened, Dolenz?" You asked.
He stopped the car on a curb and got out
To check the engine.

"Y/n, I wanna teach you something,
Come here!" He called your name.
You got out of the car and were puzzled.

"See here, that's the engine." He pointed.
"See here, that's beyond obvious and I know
What an engine looks like." You said.

Micky ended up ranting about the car engine
And how to fix it and you paid attention to every
Detail while looking at his cute face.

When you guys discussed it, You called
Mike and told him what happened, and of course,
He was beyond angry at Micky but It wasn't
Mickys fault.

Micky felt a little bad though regardless of the fact
That you both knew it wasn't his fault and he knew how to fix it.

"Look Micky, it's not your fault" you say empathetically towards him.
"Yeah I know y/n, but I feel bad cause Mike is mad at me."
You looked Micky in the eyes and said,
"Maybe this will make you feel better."
And you leaned in to kiss him.

Surprised, he kissed you back for a long time
And well, what are two lovers gonna do while their car is stranded by the road?
