I was at school waiting for my bestfriend, he always comes late.

"Sophie!" I heard someone shout.

"Jake!" I shouted back, he came up to me running his hand through his blond hair.

We had been best friend since 2nd grade.

He had been my only friend for 6 years.

He then hugged me, he was a head taller then me so i crashed into his chest.

"Good morning" I laughed.

"Good morning" He said and turned his small lips into a smile.

The bell rang, and i started walking to class.

"Meet me after school at the park" Jake whispered, then he headed off to class himself.

I went into class and sat at my place.

'What is 55 * 5' appeared on my wrist.

I rolled my eyes and replied.

'275' I wrote.

I looked up at my teacher and started writing notes.

'thanks' I read it over and over again, a compliment.

-After school-

I walked to the park, when I got there I saw Jake.

I walked up to him, he looked nervous.

He was shifting the weight to the right foot and then the left.

Then i realized he was holding a rose.

"Umm... Sophie I- I know I'm not... uhh, your soul-soulmate, b-but will you um be my girlfriend?" He asked extending his hand to give me the rose.

he seemed so nervous for my answer.

"Okay" I said, I didn't like him, but he seemed so nervous.

Saying no would make things awkward.

I grabbed the flower, and smiled at him.

His blue eyes widened, then he smiled.

We didn't say anything, we were left in an awkward silence.

"I have to go" I said, he nodded and i walked home.

My heart ached, they said that when you go out with someone who isn't your soulmate you would feel lost, and weak.

I did feel lost, but not weak.

-At night-

I grabbed a pen and started writing

'what's your name?' I waited 5 minutes and then saw  letters forming under it.

'What's your name?' Why doesn't he want me to know him.

'Sophie, you?' I wrote.

 'Good night Sophie'

'I have a boyfriend.' I wrote, I dont know why, i guess I wanted to see his reaction.

'Good for you now good night'

'Goodnight*' I was disapointed, he seemed fine, it was like he didn't care if I had a boyfriend.
