After I recovered from crying, I looked in the mirror and wiped my eyes, making sure they weren't puffy and red when I walked out of the bathroom.
Taking a deep breath, I opened the door and walked out. I could hear the piano from main hall. Laura was playing now.
I carefully crept close to the door and listened, letting the music take me into a different world.
Suddenly I was brought back to school by a voice behind me.
"Bobbie."
I spun round. A girl with wavy brown hair and chocolatey brown eyes faced me. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and fastened with a red hairband. This was Harriette.
"Hi" I squeaked.
"Amelia said you were not coming on the quest with us, because of me and Alison."
"I'm coming." I half whispered.
"Oh" she said, a smile forming on her face, "that's great!"
I smiled weakly back at her.
"Bear in mind, Alison is beyond pissed." She said, "I swear she wants to kill you for not wanting to come!"
"The news came as a shock to me," I said in a quiet voice, "I needed time to think."
"Well. I was just going to the room behind main hall to get ready for the quest. Are you coming?"
"Yeah..."
"Let's go then!"

I followed Harriette into the corridor and into the room I had been in yesterday. It was still the same, but the tree had withered a tiny bit more.
Amelia and Alison were sitting on a glass bench near a wall, talking in soft voices amongst them. I caught my name, but didn't say anything.
Harriette rushed over to them, and whispered something in Amelia's ear. Amelia looked up and smiled at me. Alison also looked up, but glared. I offered her a smile, but when she didn't smile back, my smile dropped.
"So you've come." Amelia said
"Yeah," I replied, a small smile forming on my face again.
"You're just in time. Any later and we would have been gone."
Amelia, Harriette and I chatted away, but I kept on stealing glances at the glaring Alison. What did I do to piss her off?
