Why?

Who even are you to me at this point?

I let go and looked away.

"Please just leave me alone." I said coldly.

Rummaging through my bag, but I still couldn't find my keys.

"Fuck!" I shouted, I got more and more angry. So I just threw my bag on the ground.

My stuff fell down on the ground, getting wet from the rain, but I didn't care anymore. I'm over school -- I'm over this life.

Out of frustration I just wanted to bang my head against the wall. But I simply looked down, looking at the stuff knowing that I'll just in trouble by my parents if I didn't clean this up.

Crouching down while I picked up all my stuff. Next to me was Alex who dropped his umbrella and began helping me.

"Please don't help me. I don't want to keep on being miserable. Just leave with your girlfriend." I said.

"Ava look at me." He said.

I didn't want to, because already, more tears streamed down my face. Although it was washed away by the heavy rain.

"Look at me." He kept saying.

I refused to, just angrily stuff papers back into my bag.

But then he held up my chin gently, making me look at him.

"I'm not leaving you, not anymore." He smiled.

It was the first time, I had noticed he smiled so nicely to me. A type of comfort that was so warm and welcoming to me.

He took his hand and caressed my cheek.

"Come on." He stood up and held out his hand to me.

I took his hand.

"She isn't my girlfriend." He said, "Just remember that."

His hand took mine as he reached for the umbrella on the ground.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

He looked up at my house.

"Which is your room?" He asked.

I pointed at the second story window with the small balcony, "Why?"

He kept looking around, but I was confused.

Next thing you know, he hopped onto the fence, then jumped onto the ledge on my balcony, and maneuvered his way onto my balcony.

I was quite in awe. "Oh wow."

The rain slowly got lighter and lighter. Now it was sprinkling. I closed the umbrella.

"So am I suppose to parkour up there??" I asked.

"Well, do you know how to open this window, because I don't." He grinned.

Ugh, I really have to parkour up there?

I climbed onto the fence then step carefully onto the roof, then onto the ledge. I didn't want to jump onto the ledge like a crazy monkey, it's too risky.

My foot got caught, I yelled as I nearly slipped.

Alex's hands grabbed my waist before anything bad could happen while I held onto his broad shoulders.

We were looking right at each other in the moment. Too close for comfort. I felt my chest thump just a little.

"H-help me over." I said. My face felt hot.
