*Wow it feels like years since I updated 😂
This chapter is mainly pure Freddie cuteness bc who doesn't want that?! Plus, we're almost at the end, and I guess this is me giving you something nice before inevitably break your hearts? 🤷🏼‍♀️
The ending to this book is already breaking me and it's not even written yet! I wish I could write that everyone said "fuck it" and flew off in a flying car like in Grease, but I have to finish the story and stay true to Freddie's life the best I can, so prepare the tissues!*

*3RD PERSON POV*
*Five Months Later*
The months after Live Aid seemed to fly by for the boys as they got started on their next new album, A Kind of Magic. The Live Aid concert turned out to be much more successful for the band than they ever could've anticipated, their set quickly becoming the highlight of the show (along with the amount of money that was raised for charity). Freddie's performance outshone anyone else's that day, his ability to draw in a crowd working to the band's advantage as he held the whole audience in the palm of his hand. Their 20 minute set soon became the talk of the press, for good this time, and record sales for Queen soon shot up again as more people were introduced to their music. This prompted them to start work on another album. They'd only just finished touring The Works in May, but working on new music kept them out of trouble, and each member enjoyed creating. John and Freddie however, before getting together with Brian and Roger, decided they'd take a quick break away before Christmas. The pair made the choice to return to Brighton, to the Deacon family van, to just relax a little before the stress of creating a new album took over their lives once again. They'd become accustomed to the busyness and stress of writing and recording, but John felt as though Freddie could do with a break. He didn't want to seem as though he was smothering him with worry, but he was always keeping an eye on him, and going away seemed like the best option at the time for them both.

"It's been so long since we've been back here." Freddie sighed as the pair of them walked towards the beach. They'd been in Brighton for no longer that 10 minutes before the frontman dragged his husband to the sand. He loved the view of the place, and it really had been almost 10 years since they'd been in the same spot.

"Well we, yes." John chuckled. The bassist had been back a few more times in between the almost decade, wanting to spend some time with his mum, especially after his dad passed away. For a few years it was just him and his sister who came with Sue, keeping it a "Deacon Family Tradition", so he was happy he finally got the place to himself with Freddie again. "Your love for the beach hasn't changed." He added as they finally reached the sand.

"It's the view I love darling," Freddie smiled back at him as he started to lead him down towards the water. "well I love the view from either side." He winked, John's face heating up a little as the older turned back to face the waves. "Thank you, for bringing us back here." He added quietly as they continued down towards the sea.

"I thought we could both do with some time away, especially after that weekend!" John laughed, referring to the previous weekend when he and Freddie offered to watch Harrison and Maisie for Brian and Roger. The seven year old was a breeze alone, but partnered with the now six month old, the two day sleep over quickly turned into a nightmare!

"I think I'm still trying to catch up on sleep!" Freddie scoffed lightly. By the time Harry's bedtime rolled around, the poor boy was out like a light, snoozing away in his guest room bed, while his little sister spent her night screaming the master suite down. The girl wouldn't stop crying for John, and once Freddie had her in his arms, she wouldn't let him go without a fight. The bassist had managed to drift off at about one in the morning, leaving Freddie to tend to Maisie alone. The singer was nervous, having never been responsible for such a small child by himself, but he too managed to settle (both himself and the baby) down, slipping into sleep too not long after his husband. When John woke (at around 6am) to find Freddie snoozing beside him with their goddaughter still on his chest, his heart soared. Maisie had her eyes open, scanning the room as she lied comfortably on Freddie's (rather hairy) bare chest, her small arms almost trying to wrap themselves around him. "What are you thinking about?" The man himself asked, snapping John out of his thoughts of that night as he nudged him.
