*OOH DOUBLE UPDATE WHO IS SHE 😂
Also, the ending of this kinda made me emotional, so you might I wanna have some tissues out! Just a warning! 💕😭**3RD PERSON POV*
The mood in the car was tense as Terry drove both Freddie and John back to Harley Street once again. The driver was now worried for his boss' health, what it being the third trip there in just over a week! He knew it was none of his business, so he never asked, but he was so curious as to what was happening. He'd been part of the Deacon/Mercury family for almost 5 years now, and he loved the pair of them like they were his own family. He didn't want to see anything happen to either of them, but especially not Freddie. The man had given him a job, a home, a proper family. Freddie was more of a friend to Terry than a boss. They'd always spend his lunch breaks chatting together over tea and a cigarette when the frontman got the chance, and Terry didn't want that to end. He knew he was kind of being selfish, and that if something was up with Freddie's health, John should be the one worrying, but he couldn't help was secretly stress about the whole situation. The car remained silent the whole trip, no one so much as breathing too loud as Freddie kept his gazed trained out the window, watching the townhouses and shops pass by. The older man felt like he knew the answer he would receive today. He hadn't been feeling the best the last few days, and although that could be from stressing out, Freddie knew it wasn't. Part of him wished John wasn't there to get the results with him. He didn't want his love having to hear that he was ill, but then again, he was glad he didn't have to break the news later either. He couldn't sit him down and tell him that, he just couldn't."Here we are." Terry said quietly, coughing a little as he pulled into the back car park of the doctor's office once again.
"Thank you Terry." John smiled softly at the man, unbuckling his seatbelt as Freddie did the same.
"Thanks Terry." The singer smiled quickly too as he opened his door.
"I'll be here." He nodded back, already pulling out his paper and a pen to do the day's crossword. John opened his door too as he and his husband climbed out of the car, linking hands before making their way into the office.
"Hi, uh, we're here to see Dr Grant." John spoke up as they made it to the reception desk. It was a different woman to the one the week earlier and she looked over the pair before looking to the appointment book.
"Freddie Mercury." Freddie spoke up, making the young woman's eyes widen as she quickly looked back up at the pair.
"R-Right." She nodded, flicking her eyes back to the page. "Yes, uh, 9:30?" She questioned. John nodded, watching as she drew a line through the name and appointment time to show they'd arrived. "Please feel free to take a s-seat. Dr Grant won't be a m-moment." She stuttered, looking rather starstruck as she avoided eye contact with them.
"Thank you lovey." Freddie smiled softly at her, sending a deep blush to her face. "And, I wasn't here, okay?" He said seriously, making her look up at him again. She nodded quickly, satisfying both Freddie and John that she wouldn't tell a soul they'd been in. John smiled at her too as they left her in peace to sit in the waiting room together. "I think the poor girl's face is going to be red for a week." Freddie chuckled, glancing at the desk to see her staring at them. Usually he'd hate people staring, but it was a welcomed distraction to his mind as he focused on trying not to laugh at her beet coloured face.
"I think you just made her life Fred." John chuckled too, as he too glanced at her.
"If I did, I'm glad." He smiled. "Sometimes the little things in life are what people need the most." He shrugged, leaning back in his chair.
"Are you suddenly a philosopher?" John snorted a laugh at his lover's sudden words of wisdom as Freddie laced their hands together again.
"I'm just, it's the small things that matter, that's all. Not money, or a big house, or being famous." Freddie sighed. "Just making someone's day, making them happy."
