Chapter 02 - Meaningless
My frail hands flew over the keys of the black lacquered piano. The lighting of the room was dim, the curtains were drawn and other than the piano and my heavy breathing, the room was completely silent.
Of course, silence was a shaky subject, it never was completely silent..
I was letting all my anger out at once, as always. Was it even anger, this sick feeling?
Life was just so boring and repetitive.
I would wake up at 6 or 7 am, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and brush my teeth in the correct order, day after day. From time to time I would play piano to let out my emotions.
Even my dreams were repetitive...
Ameratsu, my former maid and future mother- I beg your pardon, stepmother would pull the plug connected to my sister's machines.
And as I said before, my sister and the animals that resided here pretty much were the only things I really cared for.
But there also were the nicer things that kept me from cracking.
One of them was whistling, it was one of the many things where you could recognize my mood.
I hated the idea, everyone knew my feelings the moment I would whistle.
On the other hand nobody really noticed that yet, only my mother and sister did. But as you know, my mother is dead and my sister in a deep sleep.
I often wished for people of my age when I was younger but as time went by, I realised that the presence of adults was a lot more comfortable than the presence of dumb youngsters.
Other than Sakura and Makoto, all the other workers were a lot older than I was. Sakura had those sweet moments and so did Makoto but in the end they were a group of peasants.

"Oi, Makoto, the fish will rot if you don't work faster." I yelled, standing at the top of the stairs in the court yard.
Makoto was around Sakura again, who stared at him with dreamy eyes while scrubbing a few pots. I couldn't help but feel extremely annoyed by his behavior.
"Sure, Lady Sayuri." his eyes peered into mine and he walked towards me with a smug smirk "I anyway couldn't resist staying away from you any longer."
"Well, how about-"
I pushed him away and he nearly lost the fish "You back off, lewd!"
"Sorry, Lady Sayuri, I was just-" I cut him off
"Just get back to work." I crossed my arms. "And out out of my sight!" I yelled
He smiled and nodded before getting back to work.
"Sayuri!" my eyes were watering as I yawned and stretched "Sayuri!"
"There you are my child." I smiled at my father
"Good morning, father." he hugged me
"I was searching for you." he let go of me and stared into my eyes " Anyway, we have visitors tonight, get ready in an instance. Your mother and I will be meeting you in the dining room."
I nodded.
He gave me a last kiss and rushed away, all the servants and workers were stressed. It was quite obvious that the visitors were important.
I scrunched up my nose and wandered back to my bedroom, passing several other servants and wandering through several hallways.
I glared at the mirror of my bathroom. My fists shook as I replayed the words in my mind... "your mother and I."
