Before some of y'all start sayin something because of the title, no. Fresh does not like Error like a lover. He sees Error as more of his child or little brother and keeps him close because Error makes him happy.

-OneShot Start-

Error sniffled and curled up on the ground, hugging his knees to his chest. It was about eleven at night, it was raining and Error was out on in an alleyway all by himself. He was freezing and on top of that he had already caught a cold. He was five and had been abandoned by his family about a week ago. Since then, he had to fend for himself. He hadn't eaten in quite a few days and he didn't like being by himself. Things had been hard for him.

Error wiped at his tears and pulled his torn up hoodie over his head, curling up more and staring at the walls of the alleyway. He perked up when he suddenly heard footsteps coming closer. Whenever he got the chance, he would ask people for money and food. So far, no one he asked ever helped him out. He ran out of the alleyway, stopping and taking a step back when he saw who was there. He didn't know who it was, but he was scared because of their appearance. They were tall, had one blue eye, and were covered in goop from head to toe. They also had four tentacles coming out of their back and were holding an umbrella.

Nightmare spotted Error and looked over at him. "Ah, it's a kid. What are you doing out here?" He asked, taking a step towards Error.

Error whimpered and took a step back away from Nightmare, not answering.

Nightmare paused where he was and stared at Error for a moment. "Oh, I see." Nightmare put his hands and tentacles up in the air. "I won't hurt you. I promise."

Error stared at Nightmare for a moment, thinking about if he should talk to Nightmare. He knew he shouldn't talk to shady people but he promised not to hurt him which meant he was good! Error's logic was horrible, but that was expected since he was a five year old.

He walked up to Nightmare and stopped in front of him. "U-uHm... i-I'M hUngRY a-anD cOlD sO cOuLd yOu m-MayBe BriNg mE sOme fOod AnD a bLankEt?"

Nightmare raised a brow and put his hands and tentacles down. "Are you all alone out here? Where are your parents?"

Error sniffled and looked down. "I-i'M bY mYsElF... m-My pAreNts DiDn'T wANT mE anYmoRe sO thEy KiCkEd mE oUt oF tHe hOuse..."

Nightmare nodded and picked Error up with one of his tentacles, making the smaller glitch slightly. "Do you want to come and live with me then?"

Error looked up at Nightmare. "R-rEallY?!" He asked, his eye lights filled with hope.

Nightmare nodded and patted Error on the head. "Yeah. You'll have a better life with me. What's your name, kid?"

Error bounced up and down. "My nAmE iS eRrOr! WhAt's yOur nAmE, mIster?"

"My name is Nightmare," He replied, carrying Error back to his mansion, setting him down on the ground once they were there.

Error looked up at the mansion and gasped. "I-It'S sO biG!" He ran up to the door, tugging at it.

Nightmare unlocked the door and Error ran inside once the door opened. Nightmare quickly ran after Error and grabbed him with a tentacle, holding him up in the air. "Wait! You can't go running around here like that! I have other people living here as well! You can look around all you want tomorrow! Right now you need a change of clothes and some hot coco to warm you up."
