I sat outside the guild in the bright sun, holding out my adventurer card.
"All right," I said, as I selected the spell named, "Lightning"
It felt quite nice whenever a new skill was learned. It filled me with an indescribable feeling of determination as I rose up, brought up my hands, and murmured, "Lightning."
Bolts of electricity seemed to appear from my hands, kind of in the manner it would for Hamon.

I thought this would now be a fun one for me, and I could do many sorts of tricks like Joseph Joestar did in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 2. The problem is I can't use it as life energy or anything too special like Hamon could. Now that I've learned another skill, I feel a bit more like an adventurer. Fun is not something one considers when trying to defeat the Devil King, but this does put a smile on my face.
However, my level wasn't high enough for Explosion, and I didn't have enough skill points for it.
I walked into the guild and towards the table that Megumin, Darkness, and Kazuma were by, and saw that Darkness' armor and clothing were repaired. Her armor was also much shinier and gave a much better impression of a knight in shining armor.
"Kazuma! Look! I repaired my armor with the reward I got for the cabbages, and it's so shiny now! What do you think?" Darkness asked.
"Looks like the sort of armor some newly-rich aristocrat's son would wear," Kazuma replied, and was bored.
"There are times when I'd like some genuine praise, too." Darkness said. "You never show any mercy, do you, Kazuma?" She murmured to herself, with clear pleasure on her face.
"I don't have time to pay attention to you now. Do something about that pervert who's well on her way to surpassing you." Kazuma told Darkness, and now looking at Megumin, who seemed to be wrapping her limbs around her staff and rubbing herself against it.
"The luster of this Manatite staff brimming with magical power..." Megumin said to herself.
It seemed that all of a sudden, my party members are acting all weird.
"What was that?!" We heard Aqua shout.
We say Aqua grabbing the woman who normally sits at the counter by the shirt and yelling at her, "Hey, you, what's the meaning of this?! Just how many cabbages do you think I caught?!"
"W-Well..." The woman said.
"What?" Aqua asked.
"Most of what you caught is actually lettuce..."
"Why is there lettuce mixed in?!"
"Th-there's nothing I can do about it!"
"It is true that lettuce has a low redemption rate." Darkness said to us, as I sat down next to Kazuma.
