3rd Person POV

[It's the day after Playmaker defeated Shark. The whole school is buzzing about Playmaker's victory. Playmaker had been challenged left and right to duel but he turned all of the down]

Shay: Who is Playmaker?

JP: I could care less.

Lulu: Well, I would like to meet him.

JP: I wish people would stop talking about him.

[Astral appears next to JP]

Astral: I sense a Number close by.

JP: Well, we'll have to keep our eyes open.

[Later that day, a Crashbug causes all of the Heartland's electronics to go crazy. Yuma, Tori, and Caswell go to search where it was coming from]

Yuma: JP, please help us.

JP: Why do you need my help anyway?

Yuma: What if there is a powerful duelist and we can't defeat him?

JP: Then just become a better duelist.

Tori: JP?

JP: Yeah?

Tori: I'd feel safer if you came with us.

JP: I'm sorry but I can't.

[JP leaves. Tori looks down in disappointment. Playmaker arrives]

Caswell: Playmaker?

Playmaker: Need some help?

[The group searches for the source of the crashbug and they find it on top of a tall building]

Caswell: This is the source.

Tori: I wonder who's responsible.

???: That would be me!

Playmaker: I think we're about to find out.

[The voice is revealed to belong to Mr. Kay, their teacher]

Caswell: Mr. Kay, what's the meaning of this?

Playmaker: Don't even bother. He has been taken over by a number card.

Yuma: How are you so sure?

Playmaker: He's acting very out of character. Your friend was the same way.

Mr. Kay: I will become the most powerful man in the world! People would pay billions for me to remove the crashbug! The world is mine.

[Playmaker steps forward]

Playmaker: Okay. I think it's time to set you straight.

Mr. Kay: Are you suggesting a duel? That's swell!

Playmaker: Enough talk. Let's do this!

Mr. Kay: Yes! Let's!

Playmaker: Time to feel the flow!

Turn 1- Playmaker

Playmaker- 4000 LP/ Mr. Kay- 4000 LP

Playmaker: I'll go first if you don't mind. My turn. I place two cards face down. Now since I control no monsters, I can special summon Linkslayer in ATK Mode!

Linkslayer: Level 5- 2000 ATK/ 600 DEF

JP: Turn end.

Turn 2- Mr. Kay

Playmaker- 4000 LP/ Mr. Kay- 4000 LP

Mr. Kay: Is that it? Okay then! My turn! I summon Crashbug Y in ATK Mode!
