35: Baby Girl...

It had been a few months since I had told Brad what had happened in my nightmare, and it had also been months since he had left for a tour...

So I was left on my own to deal with the reoccuring nightmare. I just ended up avoiding sleep most nights, which led to me falling asleep in the middle of the day... Helpful right?

The nightmare had come back most nights, but it was getting worse and I found myself waking up crying usually.

I was sat in the kitchen eating breakfast when I recieved a text.

From: Carolyne <3

Hey boo. How about some retail therapy today? xx

From: Dee <3

Yea, that would be great hun. Meet me in Costa in an hour? xx

From: Carolyne <3

See you in an hour :) xx

I put my plate and cup into the dishwasher before tidying up the house a little before hopping in the shower and getting ready.

"Hey girl!"

"Dee! Heyyy!"

After we ordered our takeaway drinks, we made our way to the shops, forgetting about everything but one thing. As we were walking along the street, I noticed a young couple sitting on a bench cuddling up into each other, keeping each other warm in the cold weather.

It reminded me of Brad, so I took out my phone and sent him a text, knowing he probaby wouldn't reply straight away because he would be busy.

From: Dee <3 <3

Hi babe. Miss you :( xxxx

I put my phone away as we began shopping...

About two hours and 10 shops later, I was stood, waiting for Carolyne to make her mind up on some heels as I heard my phone go off in my pocket.

Awe miss you to babe. Not long now though xx How are you? xxxx

From: Dee <3 <3

Yay :) xxx I'm good xxxx

I haven't slept much...

From: Bradley Poo <3

Why didn't you tell me? xx

From: Dee <3 <3

Because you couldn't have done anything about it... xxxx

There was no reply as I placed my phone back in my jacket just in time for Carolyne to finish.

"Okay. So I chose th- Dee? Why are you crying?"

I quickly wiped away my tears as I walked out the store.

"It's nothing. Thank you for today love. Text me yea?"

"You going home? Do you want me to walk you back?"

"No it's okay. Bye."

We shared a hug before I kept my head down, hiding my tears as I walked.

When I eventually arrived home, I slammed the door and threw my bag across the room before sliding my back down the door.

My head rested on my knees that were pulled up to my chest before I heard footsteps stopping infront of me and I felt someone kneel down in front of me. As I looked up, I swear my heart beat stopped when I suddenly felt so much safer with his presence...

"B-Bradl-ey..?"

"Im here baby girl..."
