Peter walked into his floor in the avengers tower, expecting to see his parents.

"There not home right now, they went shopping or something." Came an all to familiar voice from the couch.

"How'd you get in?" Peter asked his best friend, Harley Keener, as he sat down on the couch, dropping his backpack to the floor.

"Um, the elevator, duh." Harley said sarcastically, smiling.

Peter playfully hit his arm.

"Yeah I know that dumbo, but who let you in." Peter continued.

"I live here, idiot." Harley said playfully.

"True, I'mma go make some popcorn. How about you find a movie to watch?" Peter offered, Harley nodded and grabbed the remote, going to Netflix.

Peter stood from his comfortable place next to Harley and made his way into the kitchen, grabbing the microwave popcorn and making popcorn.

As Peter brought the popcorn out in a large bowl, Harley pushed play to the movie he chose.

"What did you pick?" Peter asked curiously.

"Uh, it's called bird box. It's a horror movie." Harley said knowingly, grabbing a small handful of popcorn.

"You know I don't like horror movies." Peter complained, looking up to Harley who looked down and smiled at him.

"Yeah, I know. Don't worry, I'll protect the amazing Spider-Man." Because I've loved you since we met and will do anything to keep you safe.

"Oh my hero." But I'm not lying.

As the movie went on, when the first scary part came on, Peter screamed and hid his face in Harley's chest, not moving until Harley told him it was okay.

What started with them sitting next to each other Peter holding the popcorn bowl, turned into Harley stretched out on the couch with Peter laying on top of him with his head resting on Harley's shoulder, the popcorn sat forgotten on the table as both Harley and Peter thought of each other.

Finally, near the end of the movie, Peter had fallen asleep to the sound of Harley's heartbeat.

(Future Harley: If only he knew then that it only beat for him.

Future Peter: Um, and to pump blood through your body to keep you alive so I can marry yo-

Me: Shut it! I'm telling a story!)

Harley looked down at the sleeping boy on his chest. He chuckled at the sight of Peter sound asleep.

He decided he should probably take Peter to his bedroom so he carefully picked up Peter and walked to the bedroom.

As he set Peter down on the bed, he smiled. He went to leave only to be stopped by a hand grabbing his.

"Stay... Please?" A small voice came from the bed. Harley turned to Peter to see his eyes slightly open and looking up at him.

"Of course." He responded softly, climbing into bed with Peter, who instantly curled up with his head on Harley's chest.

Harley didn't mind though, he just sat there until sleep over took him.
