8pm. The sky was now a navy blue, small stars piercing through it with their brilliant light. I was sat in a velvet armchair, a cup of lavender tea in hand, watching the sky dim and shift colors. It was so soothing. So peaceful...
And then this jackass showed up.
I was jolted out of my trance by rapid knocking on the sanctum door. With a deep groan, I pulled myself out of my seat, trudging to the door. I swear if this is another Girl Scout troupe, I'm gonna lose it. Good thing Wong isn't here or he'd buy the girls' entire stock! He already had three cabinets stuffed with assorted half-eaten cookie boxes. It's a wonder he's still in shape.
I peered through the peephole, expecting the smiling faces of 10 little girls. Instead, I saw the smiling face of one little man. Confused, I slowly opened the door. He had carefully styled brown hair, meticulously swept into gentle spikes with chocolatey eyes that we hidden by tinted aviators. It could only be Tony Stark.
And my god he was short.
"Hey I was wondering if you happened to have any sugar?"
I furrowed my brows. "Sugar?"
"Yeah like 'give your neighbor some sugar'
sugar ya know?" He laughed nervously."It's 8pm, Stark."
"I know."
"And I'm not your neighbor."
"I know."
"So what are you doing here?" I groaned, running a gloved hand over my face
"Asking for sugar."
"Yeah no shit," I muttered and he giggled. It was a sort of deep and raspy giggle, maybe even more of a chuckle. Whatever it was, it was sweet and... Almost cute. Hey I said almost, don't get your hopes up. With my focus on mastering the mystic arts and becoming a perfect surgeon, there's really no room for romance. I've tried it with my colleague Christine before and it just didn't work out. Plus, I'm gay as hell so...
"Okay, let me level with you here, wizard."
"Sorcerer," I interjected, crossing my arms.
"Magician," he looked at me smuggly before his face fell and his eyes shifted to his feet. "I'm trying to bake a cake for this guy I kinda like and my dumb, yet devilishly handsome, ass forgot to buy sugar. So I go out to the grocery, and they're all out of sugar. Unbelievable right?"
"So where do I come into play in all of this?" I asked, leaning against the doorframe. I've already had enough of this. Man I feel bad for the guy he 'kinda likes.'
"Well I was walking back to my tower when I saw this place and figured, 'hey maybe one of those wizards could abracadabra me some sugar.' That's where you come in."
"Okay first of all, that's not how magic works. Second of all, we're sorcerers, douchebag."
"Tomato potato."
"That's not..- Okay you know what, if I get you the sugar will you leave?"
"Maybe."
"Eh I've never been one for odds. Lemme go find that sugar."

"Strange?" Wong called. "There's something on the doorstep."
I threw my head back groaning and made my way to the door. First Stark last night and now this? I swear, we should've disguised the sanctum or something.
The door creaked open, the brisk Autumn air flowing in steadily through the crack. Birdsong filled the morning sky, the sounds of traffic muting its presence. A lovely morning, indeed. And then I looked down.
Sitting before me was a meticulously decorated cake within a crystal serving dish.
