"He's getting stronger!"
"There's no way we can hold him off!"
"Strange, you have to leave."
"I can't leave you here!"
"And I can't let you die."
"You must."
"Wong no!"
"Farewell, Strange."

This is my fifth pot of coffee today. That makes the mug in front of me my fifteenth cup thus far. What would Stephen say?
He left a couple of months ago on this multidimensional time shenanigan and never came back. He said it would only be a few days, but then those days turned into weeks, and those weeks into months.
After the first week, I was a nervous wreck. Every sense in my body told me that Stephen was dead, lost in some empty vacuum of deep space with nothing around him; No people, no salvation, and no boyfriend in a tin man costume to save him.
I sipped my coffee.
Eventually, it became clear that I had to trust my wizard. Well of course I trusted him already; It's the things he's going up against that I don't.
But I'm sure of one thing: Stephen is the smartest and bravest person on this planet, even more so than me. If there's one being in the universe who deserves the title of Sorcerer Supreme, it's my Stephen.
Or maybe Bob Ross.
Another long sip and the mug is empty. One would think that after this many coffees, I would be wide awake, but I feel as if I just woke up.
As I wash out the mug in the kitchen sink, I glance over at the jar of coffee grounds on the counter nearby. Then I hear a thud from above me.
It is at this moment that I realize two things:
1) I've been drinking decaf coffee
And
2) There's someone else in my house
