A month passed, Tony visiting almost everyday for one reason or another. As much as I hate to say it, the man grew on me. He may seem stuck up and annoying, but he's really a sweetheart who is protective of those he cares about. Of course he's still a pain in the ass, but it's amusing. He's almost...cute.
I was pulled out of my thoughts to find Tony looking back at me. I hadn't even noticed I was staring at him. He was in the sanctum again, sitting in one of the many velvet chairs in the sitting room. I was across the room on the couch.
"Need something, Strange?" He smirked and I looked away.
"I- No I'm- Nothing. It's good," I mentally facepalmed at my stuttering. Tony stood up, making direct eye contact as he crossed the room. He stood in front of me before dropping down onto the couch next to me.
"Don't go having a stroke on me now," his head fell onto my shoulder. "I was just starting to enjoy your company."
My breath hitched, choking on air. "Y-yeah that wouldn't be good," I nodded, ignoring the pounding of my heart in my chest.
"Hey Stephen?" He turned his head to face me. I cautiously turned my head, our faces only centimeters apart.
"Yes?" I whispered breathlessly, feeling his exhales on my cheeks. His eyes met mine. Is this it? Is this what love feels like? Is this-
"Teach me magic," he mumbled. "I wanna make those sparkly circle things too."
I swallowed in relief, quickly standing up and rushing down the hall to hide my blush. "I'll get the sling rings!"

"So what is this?" Tony questioned, looking at the old wooden box I placed on the table.
"These-" I opened the box "-are sling rings." I removed one and placed it on my middle and index fingers. "Essential for making 'sparkly circle things,' more commonly known as-" I swirled my right hand in small circles, summoning a glowing doorway in the room "-portals."
"Oh hell yes," Tony's face lit up like Christmas lights. "Teach me, magic man."
I chuckled and plucked a sling ring from the soft interior of the box. Checking for size, I sat down next to Tony again. "First, of course, we have to put the ring on," I explained, reaching for his hand. My fingers wrapped gently around his palm, carefully guiding his fingers toward me. He watched intently as I slid the ring into his hand, our skin sparking on contact (for me at least).
"Now you're ready," I said, kissing the back of his hand, just above the ring, before softly lowering his hand. I looked up to meet his eyes, greeted by a red blush across his beautiful face. Suddenly feeling awkward, I cleared my throat and stood up, purposefully facing away from him. "You're gonna want to stand up for this next part."
Tony stood, making a point to stand directly beside me. "What now?"
"Think of a place you would like to go."
"Got it."
I glanced over, seeing his eyes close. "Can you imagine it?"
"I might need some help with getting the exact details."
"Of course. What do you need?"
"What does your room look like?"
I wheezed, slapping Tony's shoulder playfully. On the inside I was screaming. "Why do you wanna go there?"
"Why do you think?"
"I haven't the foggiest."
"Didn't you get your PhD and MD at the same time? I expected you to be smarter."
"Shame. I've always been a disappointment."
