Splash

Droplets cover the grass
Twinkling in the light
Shimmering, dancing
As if everything is alright

Puddles appear everywhere
Rippling with the wind
Reflecting, shining
Telling me just to give in.

Rivers form on the ground
Turning everything to mud
Rushing, gushing
Coloured red like blood

Waves crash against the shore
Staining the white sand
Roaring, splashing
An ocean in my hand

Streams run down fingers
Drops striking the floor
Splishing, dripping
A sigh then no more.

Sorry for the dark turn this poem took. I was looking at the puddles while waiting for the bus and the words just took me down a darker path than I was expecting.
