NON-STOP PILLS - CHAPTER 5

"Oh? Everyone gathered here?! Come closer, come closer! You are tempted by my songs after all!" Giant greeted everyone as Doraemon, Nobita and Dekisugi escorted the kids to the vacant lot.

"But, why do we have to wear this *cough* tacky *cough* outfit?" Suneo complained.

Doraemon reassured him, "It's alright, it's alright."

"Looks like we just gonna wing it, huh?" Hotaru asked to anyone without particular who.

Shizuka sighed before saying with resignation, "I guess so..."

Chibiusa looked at the fan she's been holding, decorated with Giant winking on one side and a letter 'G' in the other, and groaned. "Can't believe I'm doing this..."

Everyone then sat down on the ground, looking at the pill on their palms, while Giant shouts, "Alright! Here we go?!"

"So now we have to drink this when the song begins?" Shizuka asked to no one.

"Is it really OK?" one of the kids asked back.

"I hope so, I mean, look at that three," Hotaru answered, looking at the cheery mood Doraemon, Nobita and Dekisugi emitting.

"There is no choice but to believe," Suneo croaked.

"Hotaru-chan, I'm scared," Chibiusa whimpered.

Hotaru gulped before replying to Chibiusa, "Me too, but we have to do this. On my count... one... two..."

"SOKONOKE! JAMADA! ORE-SAMA DA!"

"Chibiusa, go!"

"NAKUKOMODAMARU GAKITAISHOUU!!"

Chibiusa and Hotaru then gulped their dose, followed by Shizuka, Suneo, and the rest.

As they gulp the pill, their senses are tingling.

"Hey... my chest has become hot!" Suneo exclaimed.

All of the sudden, all eight of them jumped out of their sitting position, crying out, "Takeshi! Takeshi!" before singing along with Giant.

As he finished the song, Hotaru and Shizuka shrieked, "Kyaa-haa! Takeshi!!"

Suneo followed, "That is so good!"

Giant was so happy he shouted, "OU! You guys are the best!"

The thirteen kids then started a formation by forming the letter 'G' with their hands and arms, shouting, "G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant!"

The recital continues until the sky changes from blue to orange while the fireball started to roll down from the sky.

"It was like a dream, to see you guys supported me wholeheartedly, cheering and all..." Giant said his speech, before bowing, "I hope I can bid you farewell with this little speech..."

"Eeeh!? No way!! Sing more!!" Nobita shouted.

"That's right! Encore! Encore!" Doraemon begs.

Giant was shocked by the request. It was then followed by the shouting of other kids, "Encore! Encore! Encore!"

He couldn't believe his ears, while his eyes are brimming with tears of joy.

"You guys... still want to hear... my songs...?"

"Of course we are, you bloody idiot!" Hotaru shouted.

"Yes it's true! We want to hear!" Others followed her.

The tears are finally leaked, and Giant is now smiling with joy.

"COME ON! MY FRIENDS OF THE HEART!!"

"BANZAI!!" All of them are creaming with joy and the fans are flying in the sky.

Throughout the whole evening Giant was prancing, dancing and singing gleefully, followed by the kids who are adoring him.

The vacant lot has three large abandoned cement pipes, with two laid down on the ground and one stacked on the top. Giant, right now, is singing at the top of his lungs, right at the top of the pipes, accompanied by shrieking and dancing children.

However, while singing, Giant's throat suddenly went hoarse. When he realized this, he lost his footing and fallen off the pipes, butt first. Panicked, the kids gathered around him.

"Ouch... my throat... is now hoarse..." Giant muttered, realising the state he's in. He looked up and shocked to see the sea of angry eyes pointing at him.

"GUTS! PUT OUT YOUR GUTS!"

"A professional doesn't have that kind of thing!"

"Encore 190 more times is not enough!"

"We need more than a million encores!"

Giant was scared by the sudden outburst. He apologized, "Pa... pardon me! I'll sing more tomorrow!"

"We have to be sure!" Chibiusa shouted.

"Do you promised?!" Hotaru bellowed.

"Ye... Yes... I promised..." Giant croaked, his voice strained.

Everyone then shrieked, "Alright! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant! G!-G!-Giant!"

Looking at the lunatic sight of his 'fans', Giant felt chills on his bone, can't help breaking a cold sweat and his teeth gnashing in terror.

That night at the Nobi household.

"Really *munch* *munch*? The director *munch* ? That's too bad." Tamako then blew a bubble before it popped. She slurped the popped gum and munching it again.

"Honey... can you lay off the gum while we're eating?" Nobisuke Nobi, the paternal side, the breadwinner, husband of Tamako, father of Nobita and father figure to Doraemon, asked the gum-chewing woman.

"But sugarplum, I'm not calm if I'm not chewing something," Tamako replied while munching.

"Then eat some of your dinner," Nobisuke deadpanned.

"But I can't chew anything other than gum," Tamako countered while blowing another bubble.

On the other side of the table, Nobita and Doraemon are trying to be patient at the table, moving their feet back and forth while trying not to shake their body.

"I really want to hear Giant's singing ASAP," Nobita complained.

"I agree. I can feel my frustration just not hearing it for hours..." Doraemon said while wiggling his tubby legs.

Their bodies then started moving aggressively while Tamako keeps on popping bubbles at the dinner table.

"What the heck is going on here?!" Nobisuke exclaimed to no one in panic and confusion over his family's antics.
