SUNEO THE POOR CHILD - CHAPTER 5

Nobita steps down from his chair, holding a brown paper bag.

"Here you go, Suneo. Happy birthday," Nobita said as he gave it Suneo.

"Thank you."

He opened the bag and reached inside, then he took out... a piggy bank.

"What's this?" Suneo asked as he looked at it as if it's a vintage artefact.

"It's a piggy bank. It helps you save money," Nobita proudly explained.

"If you're talking about piggy banks, I have one too, FYI," Suneo replied.

"What?"

"Wait here," Suneo put the piggy bank at the table and ran away from the dining room.

"Suneo, what about the cake?" Mrs. Honekawa asked her son, while carrying a three-tiered cake filled with candles.

"Later, Mama," Suneo replied as he ran upstairs to his room. He then came back to the dining room with a very odd looking device.

"This is what my cousin, Sunekichi, made for me recently. Watch," Suneo said.

He then put a coin inside the odd looking mouth, and then the device responded, "Your current saving is 48.700 Yen."

"Wow, amazing!" Chibiusa exclaimed with fascination. Nobita, however, was not as amazed as the latter.

"So that's a tech-ted," Giant spoke with his mouth chomping food.

"High-tech is more correct," Shizuka corrected him.

"And stop talking with your mouth full!" Hotaru chided with disgust.

Nobita silently groaned.

"Alright, alright. Who's next?" Suneo called them out.

"I don't know what kind of present you'd like to have, so Shizuka, Chibiusa and I made confections, each represented our own styles," Hotaru said as Shizuka put down her confection present, followed by Hotaru and Chibiusa.

"Mine's a brownie brittle with chocolate chips, Hotaru's are profiteroles filled with chantilly vanilla cream, while Chibiusa created Diana-shaped cookies decorated with royal icing," Shizuka explained as she opened the presents one by one.

Suneo picked one up and sniffed it, saying, "Wow, they're smell delicious."

"So that's a bademade cookies..." Giant leaned in.

"It's spelled homemade," Suneo corrected.

"And now you know why he got more zero marks than Nobita, Chibiusa," Hotaru whispered to Chibiusa while mocking Giant in the process.

Suneo eat each confection, before finally claimed, "Wow, it's delicious!"

"Really? We're so glad!" Chibiusa jumped happily.

"You better be! This is Shizuka's first attempt for making a brittle, you know!" Hotaru strikes at him.

"Well, these are all delicious, but unfortunately, I only ate confectioneries that costs up to three thousand yen. When compared with homemade stuff like this. It tastes very different."

"What do you mean by that?!" Hotaru asked, genuinely offended.

"The quality and taste of those cookies are more refined. Do you want to try these thousand yen cookies?" Suneo explained.

He showed the cookies, neatly arranged in a golden tray. "See here, this are from Laduree, PAUL, Eric Kayser, and Sadaharu Aoki. Each cookies of these brands costs up to three thousand yen. Take one."

While Nobita and Giant enjoyed the cookies, somehow, Shizuka, Chibiusa and Hotaru looked down on them, feeling sad and insulted.

"Thank you guys! Who is next?"

"Mine! The best of the last!" Giant placed a small book on Suneo's palms.

"What are these? Anti-hit coupon?"

Giant then explained, "If at any time I had this desire to hit you, immediately rip the coupon and give it to me. And then I will..."

"Will what?" Chibiusa asked, curiously.

Suddenly Giant smiled and acted piously. "Become polite, like this," he said while grinning as wide as possible.

All the guests in the room felt their hairs stood on the back of their necks. "What a terrifyingly disgusting smile!" They all thought.

"You really sure that you won't hit me?" Suneo explained suspiciously.

"Positive!" Giant proclaimed reassuringly.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm definitely sure!"

Suneo then shouted, "Alright! Here goes! Giant, you're an ugly, dumb gorilla!"

Those insult indeed effective angering the literally ugly, dumb gorilla.

"WHAT DID YA SAY!!??" Giant roared.

Suneo hastily ripped a piece of coupon before giving it to Giant. As soon as he saw that coupon, Giant smiled nicely while taking the coupon while started dancing to reduce his anger.

"Wow! That's true!" Suneo exclaimed.

"Suneo, you should let us borrow those coupon book sometime, especially Nobita!" Hotaru called out.

"Eh?! Why me!?" Nobita asked, in shock.

"You got hit by him a lot for no good reason," Chibiusa deadpanned. Nobita pouted at it.

Suneo answered, "Maybe after few more tests."

Suneo then made some ugly faces that is insulting Giant. Giant was instantly became angry before Suneo showed the coupon once again.

And the same thing happened again.

"Alright! One more test!" Without hesitation, Suneo kicked Giant's ass. Literally.

Giant's blood escalated as he growled angrily at Suneo. Suneo flashed another coupon.

But nothing happened.

In a rage, Giant roared and snatched the coupon before ripping it into pieces. He then snatched the coupon book before shouting, "I am going home!"

He then stomped away from the room, followed by Nobita, Shizuka, Hotaru and Chibiusa, who snatched their own presents away from the table.

They glanced at Suneo, anger and disappointment marred their faces before they followed Giant, exiting the room.

"Wha... what's going on?"

Suneo was shook.
