Chapter 4: Looks Are Decieving

When Maria and Brie arrived at the hospital they saw Nikki and Dolph sitting in the waiting room. Dolph's arm was around Nikki's shoulder, and her head was cradled in his shoulder. Brie started to get very angry but she realized that Layla was more important right now. Maria walked over quickly. Brie slowly walked over. She was kind of embarrassed because she was still in her date night clothes. When she went over she noticed Nikki was crying. Maria looked at Brie. Brie looked at Maria then shrugged.

"Nicole? What's wrong?" Maria asked, quietly. Nikki blinked tears, and they strolled down her cheeks. Dolph squeezed Nikki closer. Then he cleared his throat.

"Layla might have to get surgery. She might have a broken jaw. Nikki is upset because Layla is her tag partner." Dolph said as he rubbed Nikki's shoulder. Brie's jealousy was starting to increase.

"Aww. Nikki, I'm sure Layla is ok! She is very strong and a tough woman." Maria said trying to keep an open mind. There was a thousand thoughts running through Nikki's mind. "What if Layla can't wrestle? What if she never wrestles again? What if we mess up our storyline? What if I go off tv? How is Randy not losing his mind? What if she has to get surgery? What if they release the divas tag titles and me & Layla can't compete for them?" Nikki thought to herself as a few tears fell down her cheeks. Nikki started to cry more as she realized how much pain Layla must be in. Nikki's stomach turned when she thought about how bad Randy must feel. He hit his girlfriend so hard that she was knocked out. Nikki was supposed to go home with Seth but she was happy she was in Dolph's arms. Nikki liked Dolph. She didn't know if it was serious or not. She was still waiting for her man to get home from touring in Japan. They were taking a break while "he" was away touring. But she was just so glad that Dolph was holding her. Nikki knew that Brie didn't like it but Nikki didn't care. Dolph & Randy were close friends so Dolph would be right by Randy's side. Nikki & Layla were like sisters. They did everything together. They were finally working main event storylines with the top superstars in the WWE. Just as Nikki wiped her tears away, Randy opened the door. Everyone sat up.

"How is she? Is she ok?" Maria asked anxiously.

"Well...."
