Chapter 20: Love is Battle

"Wow! How did you know?" Maxine said laughing.
"Whenever she is insecure about her and Zack's relationship, she starts getting involved in other peoples."
"She is warning me about you have "extra baggage" but I have a child too! I get what it's like. That's why we have always had a special connection."
"Over the past few months, fooling around with you has been all I've been connecting with." Roman said, smiling and blushing.
"Fooling around?" Maxine said.
"At first it was all fun and games. But now it's love. I love you Maxine." Roman said, seriously.
"I love you too!" Maxine said smiling, kissing him.
"I know it might feel too soon, but these past six months, have been amazing. I love you. I've never felt this way. I am in love with you. I can't help it. I wanted to wait until you and Jack were officially over but I am in love with you. I know you might not be as in love with me, but I can't help but fall in love with you. You're the best thing that's walked into my life. I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I look in your eyes or touch your skin. You make me a better person. I love you!" Roman said, getting slightly teary eyed. Maxine had tears in her eyes.
"Ro...you're the most amazing guy I've ever met. And being with you for these past six months made me realize, that you're everything I need. I feel the same way. I love you too, Rom!" Maxine said smiling, wiping away her happy tears. They shared a sweet kiss.

/a few hours later at the arena\

"Joelle, come on, we are going to sit in your daddy's dressing room and watch him & Maxine fight together!" Ashley said, grabbing Joelle's hand. They walked in. Ashley put a blanket on the floor and then gently put Audrielle down. Dean walked in and kissed Ashley's head.

Maxine & Roman both walked out. They were very serious. They both walked up to the ring. Roman sat on the ropes and let Maxine climb through. Then their opponents came out. Summer Rae & Rusev w/ Lana. Summer Rae was scared of Rusev, so she kept her distance. The bell rang and Roman & Rusev were starting things off. After some punches and a clothesline, Rusev tagged Summer in. Summer and Maxine were fighting. Pulling each other's hair. Maxine started smacking Summer's head into the mat, when Rusev came over and kicked Maxine in the face. She fell from her knees to her back. Her hands slowly moving to her face. Roman jumped over the ropes and started attacking Rusev. He punched Rusev till he bled. Then he shoved Rusev out of the ring and started beating his head against the steel steps. Nikki came running out to the ring. She slid in and started tending to Maxine. Seth came running out and helped Roman beat up Rusev. Rusev's face was covered in blood. Roman got a steel chair and began beating Rusev's back with it. Rusev yelled in pain. A bunch of refs and a medic came running down the ring. Another medic followed pushing two gurneys down the ramp. Maxine slowly sat up with the help of Nikki. She looked over to see Roman screaming as he beated Rusev with a chair. Maxine smiled a little.

/Backstage with Ashley & Maxine\

"That was a fucking crazy match! I have never seen Roman that mad!" Ashley said, sitting on a chair.
"I know! He got so defensive over me. And I loved it." Maxine said smiling. "Speaking of love, he told me that he loved me today."
"As in love love?" Ashley questioned.
"Yes. He said this speech about how much I changed his life and how he has never felt this way before. Then he said I love you!" Maxine smiled. "Then I said it back."
"Awww oh my god! You two are in love! I mean like LOVE! Like marriage love!" Ashley said wiggling around in her chair.
"I know. I'm so happy with him. Joelle & Audrielle get along. Audrielle really likes Roman. Joelle really likes me too." Maxine said as she looked at Ashley's smiling face.

Roman, Dean, Audrielle & Joelle came into the locker room. Roman was holding Audrielle and Dean was holding Joelle. Dean was also holding Joelle's plate of cookies. He put them both down at the small table in the locker room. Roman bounced around holding Audrielle, making her laugh.

"What kind of cookies did you get, Joelle?" Maxine asked.
"Chocolate chip and oatmeal and peanut butter. Do you want one, mommy?"
