Chapter 8: Hot & Steamy

"Mmmm." Maxine said rolling off of Jack. Their bodies sweating. Their hearts beating. They both laid there staring at the ceiling, breathing heavily. Jack rolled over and kissed her. Maxine kissed back. When they released they both curled up and started to fall asleep. Maxine was intoxicated and tired so she fell asleep quickly. Jack spooned her, thinking about everything. Jack started to get up and walk to the bathroom. Maxine just pulled the sheet over her naked body. Jack went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. He stood in the shower with the hot, steamy water running over his body. He let the water hit his face. He started thinking of Audrielle.

*At the hospital with Randy and Layla*

"Babe, can I ask you a question?" Layla said taking off her ice pack, looking at Randy.

"Sure, Layla." Randy said putting his sweatshirt on.

"Why did you kiss Nikki?"

*in the waiting room with Dolph and Maria*

"Do you like Brie?" Maria said, breaking the silence.

"As a friend." Dolph said, seriously.

"Do you like Nikki?" Maria said fiddling with her fingernails.

"Yeah. Actually. I do." Dolph said, honestly.

"What about Nikki do you like most?" Maria said, smiling.

"She's confident. She fights for what she knows is right. Her personality is perfect." Dolph said smiling and blushing a little.

"Hmmm, I see. Nikki is really nice. But you do know she has a man." Maria said, sticking up for Brie.

"They're on a break. He told me. He told me to take care of his girl, even though they aren't together." Dolph said sitting up straight.

"But still don't you think that's kind of shady." Maria said, cautiously.

"Excuse me? But I don't need you involved in my love life." Dolph said standing up, walking over the cafeteria to find Nikki. Dolph found Nikki getting a slice of pizza. He walked behind her and put his arms around her waist. She jumped a little, saw it was Dolph, then smiled. Dolph kissed her neck. She giggled. She got her pizza from the chef, thanked him, and they walked over to pay for the pizza. Dolph stopped Nikki before she got to the cashier.

"Do you wanna get naked with me?" Dolph said, smirking.

"Oooh yeah, I'm thirsty." Nikki said smiling.

"I wasn't talking about the drink." Dolph said as he smiled and raised his eyebrow.

"Neither was I."
