The third day of school went just as slow as the last two. The only part of last nights dream that was true was that I did spend a lot of time with Michael that day. But he didn't come over after wards. And I didn't kiss him. I am very sad.

"Hi Cal." I say as I walk up to Calum after school that day.

"Lukey!" He says with a smile.

"I need to talk to you."

I've decided it's time he knows. I can't keep this inside for forever, and telling my bestfriend is the first step.

"What is it?" He asks.

"Let's go under the bleachers." The bleachers was always the place that we talked if it was private. No one was ever there.

"Is it that serious?" He asks.

"Yeah." I say, so he agrees. Once we reach the bleachers, I lead him underneath and sit down on the dry, summer grass. He sits as well, and I begin to pick at the grass. "So... I've been hiding something kind of big from you. Well, from everyone. Not just you. No one knows. Well except me of course, because it's my secret. Of course I know, because I'm telling you and... Sorry, I'll stop."

"Luke, just tell me." He says and I suck in air.

"I, um... I don't really think about girls often. Like... Ever. I think about boys, though. Quite often. I like boys." I choke out. Calum is silent for a moment.

"Luke.. I knew that." He says with a laugh.

"What- how?"

"No offence, but everyone knows that. It's obvious. You never talk about girls or show any interest in them. You just act.... to put it simply.. Gay."

"Oh." I say, feeling myself redden.

"Why are you just now telling me though? Did something happen? OH MY GOSH do you have a boyfriend!?" he basically screams.

"Shhhh!" I say and place my hand over his mouth. "I don't have a boyfriend. But there is someone I like."

"OOH, who?!" He asks, looking a little too excited.

"Michael." I say quietly.

"AWW." He coos. "That's adorable."

"I dreamed that he came to my house last night and I kissed him. And then I woke up really sad. It's this really confusing kind of sad, too. Like I can't stop thinking about it. It felt so real."

"Well why don't you just kiss him? See what happens."

"Calum, I can't do that. I've never kissed anyone before, I don't even know how. Plus, he probably doesn't like me back."

"I bet he does. Plus, I can teach you how to kiss." He says, and I furrow my eyebrows.

"On who?"

"On you, dummy." He says with a laugh. "Purely for the sake of learning, though, okay?"

"Calum, I don't know-" I start to say, but he leans up and feels around for then grabs my mouth.

"Shh. Shut up." He keeps his hand on my mouth and scoots towards me a little. My eyes widen as he lets go of my mouth and moves his hand to my cheek, then starts to lean forward. Then he kisses me. It feels weird, but I let him. I'm not sure why, but I just do. I don't move my lips because I'm not sure how. It feels weird. He pulls back after a second. "See how you just did that? Yeah, don't do it like that. That was awful."

"Well- how am I supposed to know what to do!!" I say. "I've never kissed anyone before!"

"Okay, I'm going to do it again, but this time, don't just sit there. You have to move your lips. It's this crazy thing called kissing."

"Okay, okay." I say and let out a breath.

"K." He says, and places his hand on my cheek again. He leans forward and places his lips on mine. I start to move my lips with his, but I can't tell if I'm doing to right. I keep doing it though, because he hasn't stopped me. After a moment, our lips are moving in perfect sink. He pulls back and I open my eyes slowly. "And that, my friend, is how you do it." He says. "Now go kiss Michael."

I look behind Calum at the parking lot and see Michael walking to his car. "Okay." I say nervously and stand up. "Wait here."

"I'm kind of blind, so it might be hard to leave." He says with a laugh. "Good luck!" I jog over to the parking lot in Michaels direction.

"Michael!!" I call, and he turns around.

"Oh, hi Luke!" he says with a smile and I slow to a walk. He walks over to me and smiles. "What's up?" he asks, and I don't reply. I just stare at him for a second before placing my hands on his cheeks and pulling his lips to mine. I kiss him like Calum taught me to, but he seems tense and doesn't kiss back. After about two more seconds, though, I feel him relax, and his lips start to move against mine. He places a hand on my hip and pulls me closer to him. After a moment he yanks back, startling me. "What am I doing?" he says, rubbing a hand over his face. "I can't do this Luke. I'm sorry." He turns around and opens his car door, then gets in and drives away. I just stand there and stare in complete disappointment. What was I thinking ?
