Jacob finally brought us up to the actual park where I was going to be working. They were setting up for batting practice, Jacob thought this was the perfect time to meet the actual team and managers. We approached the outside of the dugout and Jacob shakes Craig Counsell's hand.
"Always good to see you Jacob, what can I do for you?" Counsell states.
"Well, we have a new member to the team today! Her name is Amelia Johnston, and she will be around... a lot seeing how she is the new social media coordinator."
I jump into the conversation after Jacob tells Counsell.
"Hi Mr. Counsell, it's an honor I'm a huge fan."
"Nice to meet you Amelia, please call me Craig. Would you like to meet the guys?"
"Okay Craig. Umm.. yeah that'd be great, thank you!"
He signals for the boys to head over to where we were.
"Boys this is your new social media coordinator Amelia Johnston. Anything you want to say Amelia?"
"Actually yeah, Hi guys! I'm hoping to actually meet and talk to you guys. When I'm on the job, I'm going to try my best to stay out of your way. If i'm in your way please just let me know, I don't want to be a burden!"
The boys went one by one after I was done talking to shake my hand and say hi.
"Hi Amelia, Mike. Nice to meet you."
"Ryan, Nice to meet you Amelia."
"Hi, i'm Josh nice to meet you."
"Christian, It's really nice to meet you Amelia..."
"Hello Amelia, Lorenzo. Glad you're joining the Brewers!"
I replied a simple thank you, to each of them.
Each one of them took off after saying hi to hit BP.
Craig told me I am allowed to just hang out and be wherever I need to be.
I thanked him and prepared myself for the game.
