When I arrived back at my house, I threw a few last minute things into my suitcase. I was checking my mail whenever the car that Jessica sent for me arrived, I was so excited to have this luxurious life of traveling all the time and doing what I love. But I knew I was going to miss home, even though it hasn't really felt like home because my family is still in Missouri and I obviously don't have any love interest at the moment.I got into the black bmw, and the driver greeted me and knew exactly where to take me.
I arrived to the airport and realized that a lot of people had to travel with the brewers, the players, managers, people like me, and athletic trainers and such.
Our plane was boarding and everyone all went in at the same time.
I was sat next to a middle aged man, hadn't met him yet. As I went to take my seat he introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Jonah the head of marketing." He said as he stuck out his hand for me to shake.
I politely shook his hand replying with "Hi, I'm Amelia Johnston. Social Media Coordinator."
"Nice to meet you." He stated with the intention with being nice, but I could tell he just didn't care all that much and probably just wanted me to sit and do my own thing and not bother him.
The plane finally took off and we were able to do whatever at the moment so I decided to grab my camera and laptop to get to editing some photos. I put my headphones and turned on some Shawn Mendes, maybe his albums could get me through this flight. I started looking through my photos and all I could really focus on was Christian. I don't know what it was but every time I think anybody is remotely cute they look even better through the lens.
I was actually editing some of my favorite pictures of the boys when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I take one headphone out and look up. I immediately get flushed in the face. It was Christian.
"Oh! Hi Christian." I said wanting to seem more awake than I was.
"Uh, Hi Amelia. I really like that picture!" He said with his mood changing seeming more comfortable with something to talk about.
"Oh thanks! Do you want me to send it to you?" I asked him.
"Um actually that'd be great, ill give you my number real quick. But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." He stated.
Rummaging through my bag to grab my phone i said "Oh, what is it then?"
"You really shocked me today when you caught that foul ball, I could've really hurt you." He stated looking concerned.
"Oh no Christian it really is fine, I just have a slight bruise on my hand." I said while handing him my phone with one hand and showing him the bruise on the other.
"Holy shit, that is a huge bruise. I'm definitely going to have to help you ice that. Maybe we could grab dinner?" He looks at me waiting for a reply.
"How did this go from a bruise to dinner Yelich?" I said while giggling. "Okay, you've convinced me. You can help me with my hand."
"Perfect." He said as he put his number into my phone and handing it back. "Text me that picture, okay?"
"Deal" I said knowing that's not why he wanted me to text him.
