Apathy can take control over a certain period of time, whether it be hours, weeks, or months. But we "choose" to ignore the fact, our conscience selves are moved to the very back of the train to muffle the voice telling you to care. The one that's in control is apathy herself, hijacking your brain and making you do and say things you wouldn't do or say if you were behind the wheel.
But it doesn't matter, does it? It certainly matters after she's left you alone, but why not when she's in control?
Because she's disabled your ability to think right, she's told you to ignore the muffled voice calling out to you. She knows how gullible and how vulnerable you are without your common sense.
