You sat alone in your apartment in LA, watching your nightly shows while wrapped up in a blanket in the dark eating popcorn when a commercial pops on and you roll your eyes as you get your phone and scroll through your social media. As you scroll, an incoming call comes in. It's Mrs. Naomi Scott. Your best friend. You're confused as you wonder why she would call at 8:30 at night. You being the good, caring friend you are, pick up the phone, and prepares to hear what Naomi has in store to tell you...
"Hello?" I said as I sat up, placing the bowl of popcorn on the table. "Y/N! Thank God you answered." Naomi said. She sounded out of breath. "What's up?" I asked, lowering the volume of the TV. "You know that you're my best friend and I love you?" She said. At this point I knew something was up. "Okay Nay, what do you want?" I said. Naomi chuckled. "I'm going to need you to do me a favor. A really big one. I promise I'll give you one in return. I just need your help." She said as she sounded desperate. "What is it?" I asked. Naomi took a deep breath. "You know how I'm supposed to go to the children's hospital of cancer with Mena and a few other cast members to bring Aladdin to them?" She asked. "Yeah." I replied grabbing a piece of popcorn. "Well. I can't make it and I was wondering if you can be princess Jasmine for me?" She asked shyly. My eyes widened and I choked on my popcorn. "You want me to what?" I say coughing. "Dress up as princess Jasmine for me and go." She said. I blinked as I sat there. "You want me to dress up as you and pretend to be Jasmine?" I asked. Naomi sighed. "That's what I said yes." She said. "You're crazy." I replied. "Y/N please?? For the kids?" She said. "And you can't do it because?" I asked. "Because I'm still shooting and doing last minute things for Charlie's Angels." She replied. You sighed as you rememberd Naomi's new film is keeping her busy and of course she was going to play a huge role in the film. "Oh yeah that's right." I said. "Look, I can't cancel. And I thought you'd be perfect since you kinda look like me." She said. I laughed. "I look nothing like you." I said. "Okay okay but if you put on the outfit and try the hairstyles and props it can work!" She said enthusiastically. "Please Y/N you're my only hope." She adds. Naomi is my friend and I know she would help me if I needed some help. "Fine. Okay, okay. I'll do it." I said. Naomi cheered! "Thank you, thank you! I love you girly!" She said. I rolled my eyes as I continued to eat popcorn. "I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning to help you get ready." Naomi said. "Okay. Sounds good. Bye." I said and hung up as I slumped down on my couch not prepared for what I got myself in to.
It was 8:00 in the morning, as I hear Naomi knock on my door. "Y/N! Open up we can't be late." Naomi says. I run to the door and open it. "Uh. Did you forget about today?" Naomi asked. "I tried to." I replied grinning. "Let's go." She says pulling my arm heading towards the door. "Woah wait. What do I bring?" I say. Naomi looks up and down at me. "Yourself." She says as she takes my arms and drags me outside into her private car as we left my apartment. Turns out that there's a really nice hotel suite rented for all the cast to get ready with all the costumes and makeup that needs to be used for the hospital visit. Naomi explained to me what was going to happen in the visit and what I needed to do as Princess Jasmine. "Mena will also be there so he can help you." Naomi said as we headed towards the suite that was rented. Mena, Naomi and I are like the holy trinity. We've known each other for a while and we've gotten pretty close. "I'm just going to be here to help you get ready, then I'm off to my set to film." Naomi said as she opened the doors to the big suite of the hotel.
I stood in shock as I saw all the costumes laid out and the different rooms and doors within just one room! "All this for the children?" I ask. "If they can't go to see us.. We got to see them." She said. I nodded and followed Naomi around as she told everyone that I was going to be Jasmine for today. "Okay so we're wearing the iconic Jasmine look." Naomi said as she took of the blue jumper suit off the rack where the costumes were. "That's beautiful." I say as I hold it. "But there's more layers under that." She says and pulls out a corset and a long head piece that looked like a veil but was a small simple one. "This is all from the movie." She said. My eyes glowed as I saw the beautiful art work of hand work with sewing and stitching. "I can't believe I'm going to be wearing all of that." I said in awe while Naomi led me to the nearest bathroom within the suite.
