ETHAN It took a harsh two days or Amanda's annoying ass and lifting heavy furniture to move into my best friends house. I wasn't expecting it to be such an awful process. I think Amanda made it 30 times worst, and Gray and I secretly agreed. Grayson wanted to throw a party for my arrival and settling. I didn't really want a party, but Doug and Jack would be there so I didn't mind.
It was reaching 7 PM, and we all were making the finishing touches.
"Need anything in here?" I asked Grayson as he set up pool.
"No, I'm cool Eth." He smiled.
He made my heart melt.
"Alright, alright." I said sitting on the beanbag chair, "You know you didn't need to do this."
He didn't reply.
"Wow." I laughed.
"Just kidding." He said looking at me, "And I kind of did Ethan. You deserve it. I guess." He joked.
"You guess." I playfully hit him.
'Ouch' he mouthed at me.
He shrugged. The sound of the doorbell was heard and both Grayson and I walked to open it. In came Jack and Doug.
"Jack, Doug." Grayson and then did a little handshake and hug
"Ethan." Jack hugged me.
"Hello Jack. Hey Doug." I smiled.
It was kind of awkward for Doug and I since we have a bit of history. Know one knew of it but us. We use to date. He helped a lot to get my mind on Grayson and I will forever thank him for it. We broke it off after I felt it wasn't right. I still think Doug liked me.
"What's up Ethan?" We just shook hands earning a stare from Jack and Grayson.
"Anyways," Grayson started, "Drink are set up. We're just waiting for the rest of the guest. But I just it's just us guys."
"And girl." Amanda came in with barely anything on causing Dough and I to laugh.
"Right... Hey babe." Grayson kisses her cheek. I rolled my eyes. I don't even remember her being invited. We don't even like each other and this is a party for me.
"I'm going to set up beer pong." Grayson said.
Doug grabbed my hand and we both went into the kitchen. I was confused as to why he wanted me to come into the kitchen. But I followed him anyways. It was quiet as we entered, and we sat there for a few moments.
"We have to get b-"
"Ethan, you know living with him is going to drive you mad. Especially with that bitch here."
"I can ignore her." I said.
"I doubt that. Grayson is under her spell. I would just watch my back." He crosses his arms.
I shook my head, "Why do you care so much?"
"You know why. I still like you Ethan. I don't even see how you can still like Gr-"
Grayson entered the room, it went quiet.
"The game is ready..." He paused, "What's going on?"
"Nothing we were just catching up." I said.
He nodded and walked back. I gave Doug a look before walking back out to the living room where everyone was. I really didn't want anything to get further awkward between Doug and I. We would probably get to talk more later. Doug was great. He was great while we were dating, he's great overall.
Walking back out of course I saw Amanda all over Grayson. I sighed.
"Alright let's get started." Grayson said. * QOTD: Do you think Doug and Ethan will get back together? Or will Doug try and get Ethan back?
