Matt's POV
My mom rushed us out of the house and to the neighbors. I guess they just moved in because this house was empty before. My mom knocked and lady came and answered the door "Hi come in come in" she said, she looked kinda familiar, Is that weird?
They were all chatting when I see her daughter im guessing come down the stairs. She sure does look beautiful, wait is that? No it can't be.
Alexis's POV
I continue walking down the stairs and see that Matthew noticed it was me. He looked just as shocked as me. "Oh good here is my daughter, Alexis come say hi to the Espinosa's" my mom says "Hi" I say to them and shake their hands. "This is our son Matthew" Mrs.Espinosa says. I put on a fake smile and look at Matthew "Hi I'm Alexis" I say to him pretending we have never met. "Oh umm Hi" he says awkwardly.
I make small talk with Mr. and Mrs. Espinosa because it is just the polite thing to do. I glance over at Matthew to see that his eyes are glued to his phone. Of course. "Dinner is ready" my mom says. We all go to the dining room too eat. Matthew and I sit across from each other
"So Alexis, you said you go to Bishop Ireton?" Mrs. Espinosa asks me. " Yes indeed" I reply "Oh well Matthew goes there, do you guys not know each other?" " nope, I guess we just never see each other around" I say. Matthew looks at me confused and I just glared at him.
We all finished eatting and were sorta just talking story at the table. "Oh Alexis, I amost forgot, Matthew has to tell you something." Mr. Espinosa says. "Ughhhh dad" Matthew whines "do it" his dad scoded. "ugggghhhhhh, Alexis I was wondering if you wanted to come to my party on friday" he mumbles. I looked at my mom and she gives me the stare which means 'you better say yes or else'. " uhm sure" i say, and matt groans.
I helped my dad clean up while mom talked with the Espinosas. Dad and I finished up and went back out to say goodnight. I said goodnight to Mr. and Mrs. Espinosa and then to matthew. I went to give him a 'hug' even though I despised him, and he whispered in my ear "you look hot in that dress by the way" I pulled away quickly and just stared at him in disgust. He winked at me and I scoffed.
After they left I went up to my room to get ready for bed. I layed in bed and stared at the sealing. Why the hell was matthew acting like that? He's probably just fucking with me I though to myself.
I despise him. 'Don't fall for his tricks Alexis. Don't be dumb. He'll just use you.' I kept repeating that. Matthew is very attractive and I can actually picture myself liking him, if he wasn't such an asshole. Maybe he'll change. Eh probably not. Soon my eyes got heavy and I slowly drifted to sleep
Okay yea I know I suck at writing but im trying so yea. I got a lot planned out for this book so yayyyy
