Sofia's POV

-3 weeks later

"Cristiano, no! And that's final."

Cristiano: "But, mommy!" He whined.

"No, you're not going to Filippo's house."

Cristiano: "But I want to play with him mommy," he said as he started to get the hiccups from crying too much.

"I know you do, baby boy," I sighed. "But mommy has to go to work in a little bit and zia Greta verra'a guardarti finche non me ne andro'e poi dovro fermarmi un po'e tornero a casa per tornare a casa." (Aunt Greta is going to come over and watch you until I get off and then I have to stop somewhere for a little bit and I'll be on my way home back to you)

*A/N: I know it probably isn't correct but I used two different translators and this was the closest I could get to correct, if anyone speaks/knows Italian I'd greatly appreciate if you could possibly help me!"

Cristiano: "But I don't want zia Greta to watch me mommy! Voglio stare con te!" (I want to be with you!)

"I know figlio, mommy wishes so bad that she could stay and be with you today but I have to work baby boy," I spoke in a low tone voice almost as a whisper. "But I promise you baby boy this weekend mommy is off and I'm going to spend it all with you! No interruptions, just me and you doing whatever you want to do baby."

Cristiano: "You promise!?" He asked so cheerfully.

"I promise baby."

"Okay, zia Greta is on her way, mommy's gonna go get changed and we can sit and do something until I have to leave. Does that sound good?" I asked cheerfully hoping it would put him in a somewhat better mood.

Cristiano: "Yeah that's fine mommy."

Let me give you a little background information about me.

My name is Sofia Rossi, I'm 22 years old and was born and raised in Florence, Italy.

I currently live in Rome, Italy, with my four year old son Cristiano. An I'm a single parent.
Where's his father? Well that's a story for some other time.

I'm a recovering addict. Let me tell you it's the hardest thing ever. I've been trying to get clean since I found out I was pregnant but, I mean you see how well that worked out.

The longest I've ever been clean was about six months, and I was doing great- somewhat. Until me friend came over with an 8 ball of coke.

No I probably know what you're thinking, "what kind of mother does drugs around her kid?" I never have and never will have my son around drugs.
That would just make me even more of a bad mom than I already am.

But enough of me, let's talk about my son; the light of my life!

He means the world to me, he's the most brilliant four year old I know. I would say I have absolutely no idea where he gets his brilliancy from, but I know exactly where he got it from.

He's four years old and in the second grade, and it makes me proud of him. He's the star player on his little league soccer team which is amazing! An he's a little rockstar, he loves music. When he's not listening to it he's always making-up his own lyrics about literally anything and everything.

My life would be horrible without him, he's what keeps me going.

||~~~~~~~~~~~~~||Rome's POV

It has been about three week since Demi and I have started working together on her song, and it's turning out really good if I say so myself.

We worked on the lyrics for about two weeks, and just last started working on how she wants the instrumentals to sound and put together.

Right now we're just talking about our lives and what it was like growing up since there's only five minutes left, and we have everything that we need done for today and a little bit of tomorrow's work done.

Demi: "What's the difference between Italy, and U.S.A?"

"Food, food is definitely a huge difference. It's a true obsession basically."

Demi: "Wow, really? Y'all love food that much over there, huh?"
She asked and I could hear an accent but I couldn't quite tell where from.

"Yeah, we sure do love our food back home."

As we continued to talk our time together was quickly ending.

Demi: "Alright, well it seems like its time for me to go," she said as she stood up. "It was fun working with you again, Rome!"

I stood up as well to walk her out but as soon as I stood up she pulled me into a hug.

"It was lovely working with you too, Demi!"

Demi: "Alright well I'll see you in a few day."

"Yeah, see yo- actually I was kind of wondering if you'd like to go get lunch or maybe dinner with me some time?" I asked timidly while I had my hand holding onto the back of my neck.

Demi: "Are you asking me out on a date, Ms.Ferrari?"

"I possibly might be, Ms.Lovato."

Demi: "Well then, Ms.Ferrari, if you are asking me out on a date I would be more than glad to go with you."

"Well let me ask properly this time. Would you, Demi, like to go on a date with me to lunch or dinner? Your choice."

Demi: "I would love to go on a date with you, Rome."
