Chapter 2-Goodbye party

"Dad!Why do we have to leave?"I asked.
"Sweetie,i just lost my job.How are we supposed to live if i don't have a job?The money your mother gets it's not enough to cover everything we need..."
"But-"I began
"No buts Aurora.We're leaving and that's final"He said angrily.
"Fine dad but just so you know,i have a life here and it breaks my heart to leave.How do i tell Nathan that he won't see me again dad?"I said,my voice cracking.
"Nevermind dad.I'm gonna be in my room packing my things."I sighed.
I went into my room and let the tears fall.I didn't wipe them away.I just sat on my bed,my head against the wall and my hands on my face.When i finally stopped crying,i decided to call Nathan.God how was i supposed to tell him that we might not see each other again?!I took my phone and called him.
One ring.
Two rings.
Three rings.
He answered on the third ring.Suddenly I couldn't talk."Breath in and out."I murmured.
"Aurora are you there?Hey what is it?Talk to me!You're scaring me".He said.There was a tingle of worry in his voice.
I took a long breath before i started talking.
"We're leaving England Nate."I said.I could feel the tears in my eyes again.
"What?Why?"He asked.
"My dad lost his job and he needs to find another one so we're leaving..."I said sadly.
"No.This can't be happening."He said desperately.
"Please don't leave.I can't lose you Rory."He whispered.
"I know.I don't want to leave Nate but i have to.I can't lose you either."I whispered back.
"We're leaving on Monday so we still have two days to be with eachother before i leave."I said
"You know what?You're right.We can't just sit here because you're leaving.We need to spend time together."He said
"So tomorrow at ten?I'll come pick you up."He said
"Okay.See you then Nate.Bye."I said.
I stayed in my room for hours.I opened my phone and i saw that it was half past nine.I was too tired so i went to sleep.
Next morning,i woke up at nine o clock and got ready.I was still in my room,preparing my hair.I didn't hear the door because i was too busy and then i felt a hand on my shoulder.I let out a scream until i realized it was just Nate.
"Whoah easy there.It's just me Rory"He chuckled.
I'm sorry but you could have knocked Nate!You scared me!I told you to stop with that nickname!I said annoyed but a smile crept across my face.
"Nope.Not happening.You just have to get used to it."He said
"Ahh!I hate you."I said
"No you don't.We both know you love me."He teased.
"Oh you wish."I teased back
"I already know you do."He laughed.
"Whatever".I said as i rolled my eyes."Shouldn't we get going?"I asked.
"Yeah.After you m'lady."He said
"A gentleman i see?"I chuckled.
"Come on."He said
We went to the park and walked for a while.There was a silence between us until Nate broke it.
"Hey."I know it's hard but right now we can only spend time with eachother as long as we can."He said softly
"I know.You're right."I smiled weakly at him.
"Wanna go back home?We've been here for hours."He said
"Yeah,let's go."I replied
When we got back the house was dark.I unlocked the door just to be approached by people shouting:"SURPRISE".
"What is this?"I turned back to Nate.
"A goodbye party."He said
"This is so sweet Nate!Thank you!"I wrapped my arms around his neck holding him tightly.I felt him pulling me against his chest.
Anything for you Griffin.He whispered
I pulled away and said "Okay guys let's party!"
Once the party was over,Nate helped clean up the house.
"Thank you for all this Nate.It was so sweet of you."I said softly
"I'm glad you enjoyed it Rory."He replied gently.
"I think i have to get going."He said
"Okay Nate.I guess i'll see you tomorrow.Bye."i said
"Bye."He replied softly
He hugged me tightly.When he pulled away he said "Goodnight Rory."He smiled.
"Goodnight Nate."I smiled back.
