Chapter 8-Don't do that

Aurora's POV
I got out of his house and walked back to mine.
I wiped the tears on my face and went inside my house.I went upstairs into my room and layed down.I was too tired so,i closed my eyes.I hope that Nate will come talk to me when he's ready i thought before drifting off to sleep.

Nate's POV
I sat down on the floor.My head was againts the door for like fifteen minutes after Aurora left.My eyes are red and puffy from crying.
I took a shaky breath calming myself down.
I need to talk to her.I thought
Just tell her how you feel already you idiot before it's too late.A voice in my head said.
I can't!She'll hate me.I've been lying to her for years.If she finds out,she will never talk to me again!I exclaimed
No she won't.The same voice in my head said
Yes she will!I fired back.
SHE.COULD.NEVER.HATE.YOU NATE.You are her bestfriend.The voice replied
Yes she-Ahh.I'm talking to myself again.I mumbled.
I  got up from the floor and layed down on my bed.I'll talk to her tomorrow.I though before falling  asleep in seconds

Aurora's POV
I woke up the next day and saw what time it was.
"Oh god!I'm gonna be late for school!"I said
I got up and went to my bathroom.I brushed my teeth and prepared my hair.I finally got dressed and got out of my room.I was in a hurry and i didn't see the bag that was on the floor so i tripped.
BAM.
I fell down on my face.This is just me being clumsy.I thought
"Aurora!I heard my mom saying
I heard her footsteps.She came into my view.
"Sweetie?Are you okay?How did this "happen?!She asked
"I tripped."I said
"Why are you awake this early?"She asked
"Because i have school mom and i'm gonna be late!"I replied
Honey today is saturday,you don't have school.She laughed
Oh my god.I said trying to calm myself from laughing.
"I thought it was monday today.I can't go back to sleep."I continued
"Go downstair sweetie and eat breakfast then."She said softly
"Okay."I replied
I went downstairs and prepared a sandwich.
When i was finished.I put on my shoes.
"Mom i'm going for a walk!"I yelled
"Okay sweetie.Be carefu!"She replied.
"Bye mom."I said
"Bye!"She answered
I got out off the house and went to the park near my house.I sat down on the grass.
I sighed.I was deep in thoughts when a voice from behind me interrupted my thoughts
"I knew i would find you here."A familiar voice said.
I turned around and saw Nate.
"What are you doing here?"I asked
"I came to talk to you."He said
"Are you okay?"I asked softly
"Yes i'm fine."He replied looking away
"Nate."I sighed
"Don't do that."I continued
"What?"He asked comfused
"Don't pretend that you're okay.Not with me.I answered"
"Nate it's me.It's your bestfriend.I'm trying to help you,but i can't give you that if you don't tell me what's wrong."
He said something under his breath that i didn't hear.
What was that?Say that again.I demanded
"I'm avoiding you because i'm in love with you!"He yelled
"What?"I asked
Before i could say anything else my phone rang.
I answered it.I heard my mothers voice from the other end.
"Hey mom."I said
"Aurora."Her voice broke
"Mom what is it?What's wrong?"I asked
"Your sister had an accident.She's in the hospital."She sobbed
What?No."I whispered
"No it can't be true."Please tell me this just a joke mum.Tears streamed down my cheeks
"It's not.It's true"She replied
I closed my eyes trying to stop myself from crying even more.
"Okay.I'm coming there."I replied my voice breaking
Once the phone call ended.I let out a sob i was holding back.
"Aurora,what's wrong?Talk to me please."Nate pleaded
I looked away from him tears streamed down my face.
He tipped my chin with his thump to meet his eyes.
"What happened?"He asked
"My sister is in the hosp-hospital."I said my voice broke.
He pulled me into his embrace and whispered in my ear.
"Your sister is strong.She will be okay.He said softly in my ear"
"Thank you for being such a good friend Nate."I said
"Anything for you Griffin."He replied
"Can you take me to the hospital please?"I asked.
"Yes of course."He replied
We got into his car and drove to the hospital.The drive there was silent.Neither of us  spoke until i decided to break the silence.
"Nate can i ask you something?"I said
"You just did."He smirked
"You're an idiot."I laughed
"Ouch Rory."That hurt right here.He replied putting his hand where his heart was.
I rolled my eyes.
Anyway.I wanted to ask you a question.
"Did you mean what you said at the park earlier?"I asked
He tensed.
"What are you talking about?"
Don't play dumb with me Nate.You know what i mean.Now answer the quest-He cut me off
"We're here."He said.
I got out of the car walking towards the entrance of the hospital.I heard a door shut closed.I turned around and saw Nate walking towards me.
"What?You thought i would let you do this alone.I'm always here for you Rory no matter what even if i can't-"He cleared his throat.
"We better go inside,it's cold out here."He continued
"Yeah let's go"I replied
We went inside.
"Hello miss.Who are you here to visit?"The nurse asked
"I'm here for my sister."I replied
"Her name is?..."She trailed off
"She's Jessica Griffin.I'm Aurora Griffin"I answered
"Oh."Was the only thing she said.
"What is it?"I asked
"You should go see for yourself sweetie."Room 120 3rd floor."She gave me a sad smile
Thank you..?It was more of a question than a statement.
When we  found the room it i got inside.
The room was empty.
What?Why isn't she here.She was supposed to be here.I thought
My thoughts were interrupted when someone else came in.Well,beside Nate
"Honey?"My mother said. Her eyes were red
"Mom where's jessie?"Trying not to freak out
"You should sit down for this."She said
"Tell me where she is."I demanded
"She's gone."She sobbed
No.I muttered.No!I said a little louder this time and i broke down.I was sobbing uncontrollably.
Nate pulled me into his arms.His one hand was stroking my hair with his hand trying to calm me down.
"It's okay.I'm here."He kept saying over and over again
I was still crying.My phone beeped in my pocket.I took it out and saw that i had a new message.
I opened it.
You're next.The message from the anonymous person said.
My eyes widened at this.
What the?-I thought
