S44

5. Only three of us left

        S44's POV:
They are made? How? What? I don't even know what i expected, but this is...wait. Is sience that advanced here? To make a living thing to obey your orders? Is that even posible? Wait.

That monster, it snifs out its pray... If that is true then doctors would be safe and the monsters would go right to us kids? Posible, but if that is true, we are in trouble.

"Hey Zack! If it starts going towards us, kill it the moment it sees us." I inform him and he nods.

We both watch as the monster snifs the ground and then air. It started droling and going towards us. It jumped on the tube we were hiding behind and broke it.

That same moment i activated my power 'death torn'. I hate using it but for the sake of covering up evidence. It is the kind of thorn that sends back in time everything it touches. It's the kind of time manipulation power.

Demon started shrinking and turning back in that same supstance like all the others were. Then we looked around a bit more and went back to COLOSEUM arena.

We weren't caught, to which i'm kind of surpriesed. I mean we did make it look like a failed experiment but...i guess that, too, happenes a lot.

I'm surpriesed that Zack could pull this of. Before he strugeled just to survive, now he can do staf like this? I guess he's got stronger, a lot.

In the library we started making something that looks like a plan. Now let's compare our ideas and points of view.

"Alright, lets first see what we have..." Zack says and i nod.

"1. We have a map;
2. guards ships;
3. information about doctors;
4. and information about their technology, just a little of it tho;" i say counting on my fingers. "Not enough." I conclude.

"What about monsters?" He asks.

"I put it under technology part. But i don't think they can use them to chase us without indangering themselves." I say.

"Well then we should start looking for blind spots in the map." He anounces and i nod.

We were lookin at the map and comparing it to guards ships to find some space to go by.

We did find two. First one is in the early morning, before lab tests. And the second is in the COLOSEUM time. That is when there is no guards what so ever, they are all gone, resting and sleeping.

What we don't know about is...for the places we haven't been before, above the lab. We can examen it in the morning before the lab tests, but we might as well escape at that time.

We think that doctors are not always in this building. When they don't examen us they are probably outside of this whole building.

"I wonder..." Zack started. "What is this labratory all about?" He asked, his eyes never leaving the map.

"I don't know." I honestly answeared, looking at the sealing. "If we are gonna die anyways, why waist food and all this staff on us?" I wondered. "What are they doing this for?" I whispered looking back at my hands.

'Yes.' I started thinking in myself.'Why? That is the question that we need an answer for.' I drifted of. 'Why would they do this?'

"Wander if they have ever thought of escaping?" Zack asked, snapping me out of my trans. "The other kids i mean." He specified.

"I don't know that eather." I shook my head to the side."You and I are 12 years old, Masha is 14 and Mark is 15 plus all the kids before that have died, it would make sence that someone would at least want to escape. But i don't remember ever anyone trying." I said turning my head back.

"Masha and Mark still don't know about this plan. When are we going to tell them?" He asked me. I took a deep breath and decided.

"We should tell them as soon as posible. Tomorow would be good." I said hasetately."But i don't know how to reasure them...." i stopped looking for right words"How to make them believe in the succes of this plan?" I finished. Not the exact words i was looking for, but i think he saw the point.

"I see what you mean." He said. Then turning his head to the clock, and turning back with a sigh.

"Time's up." I say and lift myself from my spot on the chair. Puting all the books back in their places and then turning to look at Zack."Don't worry. We are sure to escape. Tomorow we are going to tell those two, and then find out more about why do these experiments take place." I anounced and turned to leave.

In my cell, while Zack was on his bed in his world, because he seemed.....not mentaly present, i was looking outside of our cell.

In a cell just in front of mine there was Masha. She was sitting on a chair brushing her hair. Then she noticed me looking and smiled.

"Hey S!" She greeted. "How was your day?"

"Like usual." I answeared.

We were talking like that until someone else entered her cell. It was Mark. He was covered in wounds and bruises from training.

Seeing him like that didn't give me a good feeling. In fact, it felt like i was looking at him for the last time. That was too posible for comfort so i just shivered at the thought.

We all went to bed. I couldn't sleep well at all. I couldn't stop thinking of that feeling or of how we were going to tell them about our plan.

In the morning in the lab, my doctor whose name i still don't know, was mumbeling to herself.

'Why do i always get the craziest doctors they have?' I thought to myself.

She was always talking to herself about something i could never hear. Just some words like:'Boss ordered' or  names of some medicine.

We were in COLOSEUM and finished. Me and Zack were back first. Well, this scene seems familiar. I hate when my hunch is correct.

I look back to see Masha, covered in wounds, alone, with devistated look in her eyes, coming out of COLOSEUM. We all know what this means.

'Only three of us left.'
