The Other Realm

Chapter 2

Thomas Rhett as Dolton, again with pointy ears(it'll make sense later I promise)

As the two man dragged me out of the building they brought me over to a expensive looking
pod(like a floating or levitating car). When a man stepped out of the pod dressed in all black suit I quickly recognized him as king gabriel. The two men that were once holding my arms were know bowing before him, one of them pulled down on my arm forcing me to my knees to do the same. With a flick of his hand he gestured us to get up, so we did.

"Liam, its a pleasure to finally meet you." the King said in a ecstatic tone. I thought to myself why would someone like him ever want to meet me in the first place? As if reading my mind he says "I know you probably have no idea why I have come to talk to you, but let me ensure you that everything will be explained later, when we arrive at the castle to talk in private"

Shock flooded through my body at his words, why would he The king of Glanderville want to talk with me? And in private! Shit what did I do?

He gestured me to get into the pod so I did as told. On the way he asked me many questions regarding my family, friends and profession. He asked if I was single, if I was engaged married. For many of the questions I either nodded yes or no, but for some I answered with a small maybe or I dont know. I was nervous to say the least, my palms were sweating my voice was raspy, but could you blame me? I hope it isnt anything bad...God how drunk was I last night?

~time skip~

Once we arrived at the castle the King took us back to a room that looks like is used for meetings. He sat down and asked me to do the same, after taking a seat I surveyed the room, it has wooden floors, a long office table that would fit at least 20 people and a beautiful chandelier dangling over the center of the table.

"Mr. Sinclair I'm sure you have heared of this other realm that we have recently come in contact with." the king says in and stern voice, bring my focus back to him. I answered with a simple yes then he handed me a piece of paper and asked me to read it out loud.

"Dear William Sinclair it is with great honor that we have selected you to travel to the other realm to gain information about it and its people. You will stay there for a total of six months and will be provided with currency, shelter, food, water and work. Your goals shaw be to fit in and act as normal as possible while gain knowledge about its people. You are to leave in two days time, thank you for your help Mr. Sinclair."

After reading the paper out loud the king then said "it sounds amazing, right?" I looked up at the him in pure anger and fear, he had decided to send me to a whole new world without my consent, thinking that I would just be "okay" with it, that it is just "amazing". I have no idea what its like there, is it even safe?

"No, no it doesn't sound amazing, how could it? Your sending me to a place I nor anyone else has ever been to and its 'amazing'?" I said anger clear in my voice. "I understand how you could be upset Mr. Sinclair I truly do which is what leads me to ask you to read the second paragraph aloud" the king said. I sighed but did as asked....

"If you do as we asked we will guarantee that you will receive a thank you check with over 25 million dollars."

After reading that part aloud I stumbled over my next words "w..why...me?" "Because Mr. Sinclair you are smart and you notice the things most people don't, being the lawyer that you are, you are able to decipher clues that most people couldn't." He said almost immediately.

After I was given a Taxi ride back to my apartment I thought about what I had just gotten myself into. I agreed to go, because truth be told thats a lot of money, more money than I would ever need.

I layed my head down that night and just thought about what it would be like there.

The sound of pounding on a door woke me up the next morning I looked at the alarm clock which read 8:15. I slowly threw myself out of bed and walked over to my front door and threw it open, only to find Dolton standing there with two cups of coffee and a bag of doozal berrys. I quickly let him and and we both began to eat, about half way through I told him everything that had happened yesterday.

"YOUR DOING WHAT? AND FOR WHO?" he yelled out of pure shock."It's only for six months Dolton, dont worry. it's not like I'm never coming back." "I know but, that place could be dangerous and I dont want you getting hurt." he says sounding genuine. When do you leave he asked and I told him tomorrow. "The hell that dont give you any time?" he says after shooting out of his chair and grabbing his shoes. "where are you going" I ask. "No its where are we going." he says correcting my mistake "and we are going to spend whatever time left you have together, because Im not letting you leave without you having the time of your life first." he says with a smirk on his face, which honestly made my blood run cold.

Oh my gosh so I just finished the second chapter Tell me what you guys think, make sure to comment on any mistakes you guys see because I would love to fix them.
