The Other Realm

chapter 3

Liams apartment, honestly I would live there!

Before I knew it my two days were gone, and I was packing my bags, getting ready to leave. Dolton said that he would give me a ride to the castle as a last goodbye.

My phone buzzed, revealing a text from Dolton in the group

Doltonthewalkingpig:I'm outside waiting

Clarkkent: and I'm with him

Clarkkent: ...sadly...

Liam: Why are you here clark I thought you worked

Doltonthewalkingpig:idk whats funnier the fact that you think he's here for you or the fact that you think he works

Liam: true

Liam: why did you come

Clarkkent: cause liam your my friend, why else would I waste my time.....and Dolton owes me a burger...

Liam: right ok..be right down, don't do anything stupid

I quickly placed my phone in my back pocket and checked to make sure that I had everything before shutting the door to my apartment.

Sighing as I made my way down the stairs of the building I thought to myself what it would be like there, in this new world that I was to call home for the next 6 months.

I hadn't realized that I had walked out of the apartment building until I heard a horn honk, dragging me out of my thoughts. I made my way to doltons old, beat up pod. After setting my things in the back, I climbed into the passenger seat "are you sure this thing can even make it to the castel Dolton" I said only half jokingly, not knowing if it actually could. "yes she will, she may be old but she runs like a beauty" "with a plastic hip and leg" Clark adds, trying my best not to laugh at his comment I ",see Doltons face turn red with anger which causes me to go into a fit of laughter.

The castle was a good 3 hours away so we had plenty of time to talk before we said our last goodbyes.

~time skip~

"I'm gonna miss your chubby wubby face" Clark says while pinching my cheeks. "I'm gonna miss you to Clark...I think" I say, earning a slap on the arm from my friend. "Dude I still can't believe you are doing this. I'm gonna miss you so much, but in all seriousness how could you just leave me here....and with that?" Dolton says while pointing to an oblivious Clark "this is payback from when I threw your phone into the pool isn't?" "yes Dolt this is payback, but I'll for real miss you too."

After saying our final goodbyes they leave, I watch the pod til I no longer can see it and prepare myself for what Im about to do. Entering the castle with the king by my side we walk through countless amounts of halways and doors before we arrive to where he has taken us, you can tell this room hasn't been used for a while considering the amount of dust and cobwebs that have collected overtime.

"Are you ready?" the king asked with his back faced to me. It was a simple question really.

Was I ready?

"yes" no

"great" He says while handing me a devise that is shaped like circle "This is the devise you will use to get to and from the other realm. you will press the blue gem in the middle of the device to activate it, once activated you will focus on where you want to go and it will send you there. Understood?"

"yes" no

Turning towards me the king says "when you arrive there you will find yourself in a small apartment that will be your home, it has already been stocked with food and water, there is a compute and phone there as well. You have been given a job there and will be working at a bar, the address will be on your new phone. You are to also wear a hat or a beanie if you are in public because they do not have ears like ours, and whatever you do...DON'T USE MAGIC."

After the king finished explain I looked down at the device he had given me earlier. I felt myself begin to shake, I was nervous to say the least.

The king put a hand on my shoulder "are you nervous?"

"yes" for once meaning what I say.

"Good you should be" he says while guiding me the room that was connected to this one, it looks like it used to be a interrogation room. after he walks me in there he tells me to stay and he walks out. I look at myself in the mirror knowing he can see me.

"press the blue gem" he says through the speakers "and think about where you want to go" So I do.

After I press the gem I think about the other realm and what everything will be like. A bright flash of blue appears and I start to feel myself being lifted of the ground, but before I know it I'm crashing right back into it. Getting up I was about to angrily yell that it didnt work but when I opened my eyes I realized that I was no longer in Gastonia, standing in the interrogation room. I was now standing on the wooden floors of my apartment in the other realm.

I slowly walked to the window and opened the curtains, doing so revealed this whole new world, a world that I had never seen before. Stepping away from the curtains, the only thing I could think was shit.
