A Call from Nowhere Part 13

???'s note: So, the day has come where I finally appear... Today is also the day that some of you celebrate as "the 4th of July" ....

 Iskall:

 Tango's red eyes glowed softly as he slowly raised his clawed hand, " Rik.... It's Tango..." his voice was low and calm. Rik hissed at him and put his clawed hand onto Ash's scarred chest. Tango let out a sigh, " I am not going to harm Ash, Rik... I need you to breathe and calm down..." 

 Rik let out a growl as he dragged Ash by the back of his shirt with his sharp teeth. The demon glared at Tango and bared his teeth after Tango tried to move forward. The hermit shifted back to his normal self and lowered himself to his knees.

 " Rik, you don't have your leg..." Tango motioned towards Rik's nub leg. The demon looked at his limp as his tail lowered slightly. He looked towards Ash and the containers. Ash's ears and nose twitched as he rolled onto his side. Rik let out a low whimpering sound as he stalked around.

 I looked up and tapped the side of my head. The creature had stopped talking with Mini, and it was now speaking with the imprisoned fusion. Mini was coming towards the stairs and was approaching the prison area.

 " T-tango....?" I poked my head out from behind the protective barrier. Rik looked towards me and tensed up. The demon looked at Tango as Tango allowed me to move towards him. I frowned at him, " Mini is coming... " I whispered as the tuff on the end of Tango's tail puffed up. 

 Tango looked at Rik, " We need to get your friends out of here Rik... Let us help you..." he spoke in a fast whisper. Rik looked at the containers and Ash. The bear hybrid's nose twitched again as he curled up. 

 Rik took a step back as his body rather painfully turned back to the pale, scared man. He sat up and put his hand on Ash's bare arms. The two demons nodded at each other as Tango motioned for me to come closer. 

 It took a couple of minutes, but X, Tango, and I managed to free the rest of Stumpt and get them through a portal back to the building. Mumbo looked at us through the portal, " You guys stay safe.... Please..." he frowned as he helped Rik to steady himself. Tango, X, and I nodded as Tango closed the portal.

 The three of us moved to hide behind the rubble as Mini came down the stairs. His large, ooze covered arm dragged on the ground as he growled. He sniffed the air as his eye twitched, " Solidarittyyy.... You've left your post... " he sniffed again, " And your gone...." 

 Mini let out another growl, " Oh.... I see that we have some unwanted company..... The.... " he sniffed the air and let out a snarl, " The hermits..... I can't wait to rip into you three and devour your very souls for the master....."

 I grimaced. 

 Tango's tail twitched as he shifted back to his power form, " Iskall, your eye can stun people, right?" he whispered. I cocked my head, " I mean, it can blind people.... Not stun them." I told him. Tango got up as his hands flared up with a red flame, " Good enough."

 X and I watched as Tango flung himself over the barrier. His clawed hands twitched as Mini whipped his head to look at Tango. 

 A cracked smile formed on Mini's mug as his bones cracked like sticks when he turned towards Tango. The two stared at each other, " Oooh.... A Tango! Good....." Mini twitched. Tango looked towards me, " NOW!" he shouted as he shielded his eyes. I closed my normal eye and fired a bright flash towards Mini.

 The corrupted evolutionist screeched as a large thud followed. I opened my other eye and helped X up to his feet. The two of us looked over at Tango as he tied Mini up. Tango motioned X over, " X, see if you can summon in that sleep potion.." 

 X nodded and carefully brought up a glitching creative menu. He narrowed his eyes and grabbed the sleeping potion. I watched as X quickly handed Tango the bottle. Tango popped the cork up and forced the liquid down Mini's throat. Mini kicked and gagged until his glowing eyes stopped glowing and closed. 

 " X, open a portal and get Mini out of here... Leave the creature to us." Tango told him. X frowned, " Alright...." he didn't argue as he opened a portal. X and Netty gently dragged Mini through and closed the portal. Netty gave us a sad look as the portal shut.

 The two of us looked at each other. I tapped the side of my head and looked up. The creature was still talking to the fusion. It cocked its head to the side as it spoke. Tango's tail twitched as I explained what was happening upstairs. 

 Tango nodded as we made our way over to the stairs. I watched as the Tango stalked on all fours up the stairs. I, however, simply made my way slowly up the stairs. The dark, ooze covered halls were overbearing with the stench of death. Tango had me hold onto his hand as he led the way. 

 I looked around and held my breath as Tango came to a halt. He motioned into the throne room where the creature and the fusion were. The fur on the tip of Tango's tail was puffed up as he leaned forward to listen in on the conversation.

 " Oh dear Mightian... How about you just accept your defeat and let me take full control of you...." the creature sighed with a shake of its head. The fusion coughed out blood and held onto their broken arm. 

 " emoc ll'yehT... llehS pu -hgua- eht tuhS " the fusion snapped weakly as a their mismatched pair of wings twitched. The creature simply laughed, " That's all you two have been saying! Got any other words for me?" it grinned with its blood stained teeth...

 The fusion gagged on their own blood and coughed it out again, "....uoy fo dir teg yllanosrep ll'I ,esufnu I nehW...." they spoke in a low, tired tone. The jumbled statement only made the monster laugh louder. 

 " Adorable Mighty.... You know what happens when you lose your power in this world... You can't even hurt a fly!" the creature continued to laugh. The fusion looked over at us with weak eyes.
