Darkstripe was a terrible cat, always causing mischief for Tabby McTat and Thip, both were getting tired of Darkstripes bad behaviour.
One day, while chatting with the Police wolf called Bengy and the eldest wolf Barnaby, Thip, the cat from Thailand pointed out Darkstripes evil attitude.
"Darkstripe sounds like Duncan" Bengy pointed out. Duncan was Benton's younger brother and was often being grumpy and hiding away from the rest of the pack in the blue room down the hall from the wolfhouse or in the tunnel Mr Panda made, Duncan was also known for his crooked neck.
"Really? What makes Duncan act like that? Maybe he has the same problem as Darkstripe" Tabby McTat, a Buskers Tabby cat, responded as he looked around, trying to see if Duncan was there.
"No one really knows" Barnaby shrugged "We just think it's his bad neck but even Benton said when Duncan was a puppy, he was antisocial and often angry."
Thip and Tabby McTat thanked Barnaby and Bengy for their time before they left to go back to their clubhouse that was called 'Cool Cats Clubhouse, Beware The Claws.'
Darkstripe lay boredly on a branch off the clubhouse since it was built in a tree. He saw Thip and Tabby McTat coming and decided to knock off the ladder that would let them up.
The long ladder landed with a thud, startling both cats. "Look! Up there!" Tabby McTat pointed with his nose.
Thip hissed and started shouting at Darkstripe "You naughty, awful cat! You shouldn't do that to us! What if it fell on us?! Mr Panda would be so cross with you!"
Darkstripe looked at Thip with a plain face and shrugged "I would laugh if it fell on you" And then he disappeared into the trees.
Tabby McTat and Thip had enough with Darkstripes bad attitude so they went to go and see Duncan's big brother Benton, Barnaby and Bengy to plan a way to get Darkstripe to be a kind kitty instead of a cruel cat.
Benton offered to lure Darkstripe into the trap, Barnaby would act as if he was stuck in the well, Bengy would be there to rescue Darkstripe and Barnaby and Thip and Tabby McTat would watch.
During the afternoon in the next day, a ruckus was heard as Darkstripe walked around carefree. His ears twitching to the sound he decided to investigate when Benton ran up to the black striped cat.
"What do you want?" Darkstripe asked, bothered by Benton being near him. "It's Barnaby!" He cried "Barnaby fell down the well and now he can't get out! Won't you help him Darkstripe?!" Benton asked panicked.
Darkstripe was not going to help at all but followed Benton over to the well to laugh at Barnaby.
There he was, covered in dust, dirt and other smelly things. Barnaby looked up "Oh thank goodness! Darkstripe! You're very strong and brave! Help me out!" Barnaby put his front paws on the stone of the well and tried to jump up so Darkstripe could help him.
"No way! I don't need to help you or any of you! I only look after myself!" Darkstripe shouted down the well before starting to walk away.
Bengy jumped down the well and pulled Barnaby out by his tattered red collar, unfortunately, when Bengy jumped down, he knocked Darkstripe with him and didn't help him out.
"Hey!" Cried Darkstripe as he stumbled to his paws, staring up out the well as the dogs crowded around it "Help me out of here!"
Barnaby looked down "Why should we? You didn't help me out of the well, what makes you think you deserve being rescued? You've been horrible to your friends and family, not to mention you never be kind to others or share."
Darkstripes eyes went wide, Barnaby was right! How could he be so silly to not realise how bad he was. "I'm sorry!" Darkstripe apologised "I didn't know how bad I was! I'll start doing better from now on! Just please let me out!"
Thip and Tabby McTat appeared and looked down at Darkstripe, watching him shake in fear of being stuck down there forever. "Have you learned your lesson?" Thip asked.
"Yes! Yes I have and I'm so sorry about how I treated you two!" Darkstripe sniffled "Bengy, please come get me out!"
Bengy looked at Thip and Tabby McTat before jumping down the well again, collecting the black cat and climbing back out.
Darkstripe promised to never be a bad cat again and was sure he'd change his ways.
