Next thing I know I'm in limo with a man I barely know. All I know is his name is Mr. Choi. He is dressed nicely in a suit and was somewhere around his 30s. He told me everything about who my adopted family were. That my parents weren't really my parents, but my aunt and uncle. Jin was never my brother, but my cousin. More specifically, my first cousin. It's too much for me to process at the moment, but I think I can handle it. I kept on bothering Mr. Choi with all my questions in the car.
"So what are my actual parents like?" I asked. At the time, Mr. Choi was reading a book. He didn't budge at all.
"Your father and mother are as you can, very wealthy and they had kept you hidden and a secret because you are product of their forbidden love." He said. I was in shock.
"Why was their love forbidden?" I asked. He sighed. He was starting to get annoyed.
"Your mother was a poor farmer and your dad's father disapproved them because of that." He answered.
"So why do they want me now?" I asked again.
"Your father refused to find someone else, so your grandpa just let him marry your mother." He answered again annoyed.
I was about to ask so many more questions, but we were already there. He quickly opened the door for me eagerly wanting me to get out. When I did get out, I was in front of a enormous mansion. I looked at it in awe. The driveway was a circle and the was a fountain in the middle. There were flowers and bushes in the front of the mansion. The mansion itself was stunning like a castle.
"Come along. We need to hurry. They are waiting for you." He said. I quickly followed behind him. He led me to the front door.
"Behind this door is your parents. Are you ready to meet them?" He asked. I sighed and nodded my head. He opened the door. I looked at the interior design of the mansion. It was magnificent. The floor was a marble tile, the walls as white as pearls, the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
In the middle of it all was my real parents. The woman, which is what I am going to be calling mom, ran over to me. She stood there sighing a sigh of relief that I was here and hugged me tightly.
"Eun-Jung. You've grown up so much. You are so beautiful." She said letting go of me to look at me.
"Thank you." I said.
"Now I know you have a lot of questions, so be free to ask us any questions." She said.
"So first off. Why did you abandon me?" I asked. She looked uneasy when I asked.
"Well, I wanted to keep you, but we needed to keep you hidden from the press and what not, so you lived with my sister and her family." She explained.
"So we're still related to them?" I asked. She nodded. I sighed a sigh of relief. Just making sure.
"Now now honey. Give me some room to talk to my little girl." The man, who is my dad, said.
"Hello...Father." I said unsure. He smiled.
"Thanks for trying. Now moving on. I will tell you everything you need to know about us." He said. "But first let me and your mother apologize to you for leaving you."
"It's ok." I said. "I forgive you." He smiled even more.
"Wonderful. So let me tell you everything." He replied and so he did.
He told me from the very start. The love story, how they met, which was in the countryside because my father couldn't find a way out and that's how he met my mother. Blah blah.
"Oh right. We forgot to mention you have an older brother." My dad said casually.
"Wait what?!" I exclaimed. "So you had...you know twice? And you didn't think of the consequences?"
