Been On My Mind

Camila's POV

My shift is almost done but God I can't take Lauren off my mind. I go to a table and I give him a smile, taking the tip.

"Thank you so much," The customer says.

"No problem sir," I said.

He stands up in front of me. "Your such a beautiful woman," He says pulling me by the waist.

"Let me go," I panic.

"Hey hey!" I hear Troy.

He comes up and pushes the guy to the floor.

"Troy," I said getting him up. I pull his shirt going in front of him. "Hey", I said cupping his face.

"I didn't know she had a boyfriend sorry," The guy stands up.

"I'm not her boyfriend," Troy boyfriend, "I'm her brother respect her," He kicks him in the stomach. "You know what just leave if I see you here again I'll beat the shit out of you," Troy says and the guy scrambles. Troy turns to me, his red of anger.

"The boss is going to be mad," I said.

"I know," Troy says.

I hug him and he hugs me back, kissing the top of my hand.

"Thanks big bro," I mumble against his chest.

He smiles interlacing our fingers, caressing my hand. "I'll always protect you," He whispers. "And if I don't I won't be able to live with myself," He says. "If the boss fires me it was worth it," Troy finishes.

I pull away and look up at him. "I don't think he will. Were his best employees he helped us when we needed it, he's practically family," I said.

"Camila, Troy," I hear behind me.

"Yeah Mr. Jimenez," I said.

"Can you guys come to my office?" He asks.

We nod and walk to his office. Troy and I sit in front of him and he clears his throat.

"I heard what happened, are you ok Camila?" He asks me.

"I'm fine Mr. Jimenez," I answer

"Good," He says with a smile. "I know it's bad for the diner if I don't fire you, Troy," He says, "But I know you need this job," He finishes. "So you're just suspended for a week, okay?" He says

"I get it sir," Troy says.

"Camila if you want you can take days off it's your choice," He says with a smile.

"Thank your Mr. Jimenez for not firing him," I thank him.

"You guys are like my children, I know you guys and your family for years since you both started working here," He says.

"If she comes to work can you please take care of her," Troy says

"Sure," Mr. Jimenez said with a smile. "I'll ask Chad my son," He says.

"Please," Troy begs."He's a good kid I approve," Troy says making me giggle.

"Okay get out of here kids I have work," Mr. Jimenez says with a smile.

"Bye Mr. Jimenez," We said and get out.

Once our shift finishes I go out to Troy's car.

"Ready little sis?" He asks.

"Ready," I said cheerfully.

Once we get to the parking garage of our apartment complex. I see the girls outside, Lauren with her camera. Troy parks and we get out.
